It takes about 8-9 hours til the final table...late registration up until around 3ish...so get there late...usually lil over 100 people each tourney...good luck

Playing at Parx for the first time from July 8-12 or so. Happy to say hi to people and open to any tips. If someone wants to point me in the direcion of the whales and action tables at 1-2 that would be awesome

Just look for the tables where the average stack is over $300. Congrats.. you've just found the $1/2 whales.

Looks interesting for sure. Definitely a buy in that even the most casual player can afford, but not likely worth the time of more serious pros, so I'm guessing it'll be a lot of dead money out there. What that money will look like, who knows. They always get numbers, though, without a guarantee, so looking forward to checking it out.

When is the 10/10 nlhe game running these days?

It used to run just about every day but the only day that it runs reliably now is Tuesday when there are usually 2-3 tables and sometimes more.

I think it's gonna be a fun tournament, and that's the main reason I'm playing. It'll probably also be pretty soft I think, but I'm not a huge live player so being in the room all day and lack of a ton of live experience might make me one of the fish

Me and at least one of my friends are playing Friday, although I may make it down for Thursday as well. Wonder if playing on Thursday is gonna be worth it since they are running two flights on Friday and I'm probably only gonna bring two bullets for the tournament.

If anyone's down to play PLO8 at 1/2 or *maybe* 0/5 I'll likely be starting a list as soon as I get into Parx. I'll post here if I do, but last time I did (on a Saturday) it ran for a good 8+ hours.

Oops just realized that I wouldn't be able to play day 2 because I already had plans for Saturday. At least there's the big Stax series coming up. I'll probably still play cash as long as my friends are still planning on playing the tournament.

The previous flights have begun at 5 pm, so the end time should be 2:30 - 3:00 am. Agreed that the lack of sleep will suck, would recommend non-locals find accommodation in the area.

Last night we were bagged by 1:10 at the end of level 14. 10 minutes left the called for 3 more hands

i am also playing friday night.. i dont know why parx couldnt start saturday day 2 at 2 p.m.

I think the turnout for the harrahs tournament may shed more light on this
