At a minimum someone (wish I had time) should get some kind of petition to the State to enforce the rules - thousands of players saying that the rooms are not returning all the jackpot funds would have an impact I think.
If you really want to go for it - this might make a good class action lawsuit.
Fisherfolk,
Let me try to give a little background on this subject.
First and foremost, the PBKC were one of very few facilities to support giving 100 percent of the jackpot monies back to the players. Some properties suggested a withholding for accounting costs incurred.
At no time is a prize or giveaway awarded at the kennel club without full documentation of the award including the full value of the item.
A tournament ticket that would cost a player $550 at the window is worth exactly $550. That is the actual value. When we give away tv's and other misc. items, we fight for the best price and haggle to no end.
To give you an idea about how serious about this we are: We purchased many TV's and other electronics for a giveaway last year. We received points from the local Best Buy store for our purchases. The points that were received were used to get more items to give directly back to the players. Nothing was retained by PBKC.
Please rest assured that we are audited by the state of Florida and have an impeccable record. As for the properties regulated by the Indian Gaming tribes, they are not regulated.
I hope this alleviates some of your concerns.
Take care,
noah
