Given the fact that I'm on this thread, I know I'll be checking your place out. My point was that, if people in that room are already talking about places that are going to open in the future and yours isn't in the conversation, you have some catching up to do.

I think the games are gonna quickly find themselves at one poker room in Salem. Three could work but the action isn't gonna be spread out. The action players are gonna congregate and the 2/4 games with the most money on the table. Toss in a regular PLO game and thats going to be the place to gamble. Word spreads very fast and outside of some jackpot chasing there will be a clear cut leader that emerges.

Now that the Rock has closed, can anyone lead me to the best place to play 1/2 NL in Southern NH, while waiting for Cheers to be up and running?
Thanks.

Whatever site it is is blocked out by 2+2, hence the stars. There are a lot of sites that are filtered so I don't know what it was.

There is a ton involved to open a poker room and business in Salem NH. For those really interested to see how these meeting go, the Town of Salem NH has a great TV studio which telecast the hearings live and are available on the web. the link to the public hearing portion held on Tuesday 9/6 on the 3 potential Poker rooms, is https://live stream dot com/SalemNH/events/6300745 The night of the hearing, there were several non-poker hearing before us. My room, The Cheers Charity Poker Room went second. The first poker room hearing for S. Broadway starts at the 2:07 mark in the video. My hearing starts at 2:31:50, and the Garebedian starts at 3:06. Take a look and compare for yourselves....then remember the deliberations and vote it tonight, also broadcast live. Enjoy the show. Love to hear comments

Yeah it's fine. Streaming sites get filtered by default due to spamming. They're not prohibited under legit circumstances (such as this).

GL tonight Puck. If your room is going to be half as good as you say it will then I don't see how anyone will be able to compete.

At the end of the day, poker players want games to run, good dealers and a clean room. If you can provide that, you are sure to win business.

My sense is that the other(s) trying to get permits are not looking at it from a poker player perspective, but purely from a $$$ perspective. The fact that Puck comes on here and asks for our input and is genuine in his comments/responses gives me high hope for his venture!

Yes agreed good luck Puck tonight... It'll be good to have a room run by someone who is not only in touch with the players point of view but also actually has ears that listen to what the people are saying.

Appears from stream that the meeting was pushed off until the 28th of September. Basically the 5 person panel had wanted to ask the city's attorney some questions before deciding, and the attorney was unavailable over past few days. (In a trial.) The panel decided they would rather reschedule than vote without answers to their questions. They had options of 22nd or 28th. 28th worked best for them.

Pretty good example of how permit and approval processes can be frustrating. Drag everyone and their attorneys out to a meeting only to reschedule. it. They did apologize for that, and it really isn't their fault since they can't make decisions without a vote.

It is unfortunate that the other two parties now have more time to prepare. Seems like Dan was well prepared and brought a complete plan to the table. Will also be interesting as one of the sites (the worst option IMO) appears to be related to a town selectman. Hope Dan wins as having someone with great knowledge of the business will benefit players.

Btw...also changed my stance on 3 sites being as good as 1. I'm taking this stance not as a player, but for the charities. The local charities got ~2mil from Rockingham. So basically 35% of (Rake - Operating Expenses) = 2mil. If player pool remained the same the charities lose since the operating expense of 3 places will obviously be higher than 1.

GL Dan

geesh, had no idea the NH rooms were generating that much cash !

35% of (Rake - Operating Expenses) = 2mil.

So that would put revenue around $6mil - $2mil to charity = about $4mil profit ?!

That's a nice profit for the owner(s)
