First, a PC statement!! Happy Holidays
I think NH is destined for a poker meltdown unless they become proactive (basically a change in limits and games). Even with that, I do not think the clientele that frequents the Poker Room I play in all the time has the Bank Roll to sustain a Poker Room. I have made a bunch of money playing $2/$4 O8 because much of the play is so bad. Many do not know what a good starting hand looks like. If the game were PLO8, the numbers would dwindle quickly. Even with the low stakes played now, there are many who no longer play.
Casinos in Ma will probably not be convenient for me if the proposed locations are adopted, Suffolk Downs or Springfield are approximately 1 and a half hour away. Foxwoods is 1 hour and 50 minutes.
I like Foxwoods because of the games spread and in most cases the short wait to play. I have had to wait a long time with long waiting lists before. But, you can sign up for multiple games such $1/2, $2/5, PLO $1/2, PLO8 $1/2, and $5/10 O8 (my defined set of games). I do not see that happening in a Ma casino. To support this thought which may be erroneous, I would point out Casinos such as Turning Stone, PA casinos, and Ohio Charity Poker. Not a complete sample but the point is I do not believe there are many Casinos provide the breadth of games and the numbers of participants as Foxwoods.
I think expansion of this industry is great for players but in a stagnant or shrinking market it may become a circumstance of more casinos dividing a smaller and smaller market. Some will die.
I hope you all run exceptional well in the New Year except against me. LOL
Just a few thoughts and my $.02.
