Well- lets hope so. All "they" need to do is look to other states to see exactly what works, and what doesn't. A $5.00 bet limit in Florida did not work- they tried it, as well as a Max $100.00 buy-in. Didn't work. Colorado tried a $5.00 bet limit- didn't work, at least they now have $100.00 SPREAD limit.
Now, of course you can walk up to a pari-mutuel window and bet 2000.00 on a horse or dog in those states, all perfectly legal. So, all our voices, and that of the industry, will need to be heard in case they over-regulate poker rooms.
That is, of course, if there are poker rooms to regulate. And the more there are, the better they are run, and the better it is for the paying customer. You want lower rake?...then you want more poker rooms. Rooms that are trying to make a pile of money, not some scammy charity excuse that states and locals "allow" to exist because its good for the community. right.
That charity poker excuse of a room in Rockingham hasn't seen a mop to its floor in years. How about the mens room- looks like a set from "The Sting". Great food- day old chicken tenders, anyone? goodluck fellas..I feel your pain.
