I can tell you I played friday. "ok...I will play to the button" 8 hands and 1 hour later I was on the button! Yes 8 hands in an Hour! Still the same problem. Dealers sharing tips dont care!. When a dealer finishes a hand and notices another dealer coming from the othere side of the room to push, they go in slow motion to wait!! Any other casino that dealer would pump out another hand

Drew,

Did they have a 1/2 PLO game or a 1/2 PLO8 game? Your post and other post mention both games. If they would get a regular 1/2 PLO8 game I would like to know about it, I would come up for that...

It was 1/2 PLO8. The first time I have seen it go off here. Would be nice if they tried to run it every weekend. I give them a little credit, some players asked for it and they spread it.

Also note, Sunday there was a 5/5 game that eventually went 5/10 ... Something I never thought I would see at Mt. Airy.

I heard from the floor as well as a few pit bosses theres new management and they are really going to try to get the poker room going, with regular bigger games, as well as other games such as PLO8.

They are also adding new games downstairs, if anyone is interested they added sicbo, and and are adding single 0 roulette.

Eliminate the tip share for dealers! That will change the whole room.

I agree this would help a lot but I doubt it's something we will see in the immediate future. They are currently bring dealers from the floor and new dealers into the poker room maybe they will be a bit quicker at first before they get bad habits.

What are the odds of the 1/2 NL Omaha8 going again? I'd love to know how many were legit Omaha players and how many just wanted to mix it up. It was full all night and had a list.

I have no idea what the odds are but I'm hoping it will be a regular addition, at least on Friday and Saturday night. I'm sure if you show up with a few people asking for 1/2 PLO8, they will run it.

Anyone interested in playing 1/2NL Omaha8, let's make this a weekly game and start a list! Who's in???

I would make a trip up for a 1/2 PLO8 game. 1/2 NLO8 would be extremely volatile and would break quickly. Played this format a couple times and you have people just shoving stacks preflop with hands such as A23x or AAxx. Being able to push too much pre will ruin the game and send half the table packing in my experience. Keeping it at a 1/2 PLO8 game is something I would be up for if you get the players...

Any regular Omaha game will do! Didnt see any interest on Bravo last night. Hopefully we can get 5-6 players from forum then the rest will come! I think there's a better chance of hitting BB twice than a regular Omaha game. Wishful thinking!

I know the Sands has a webpage which allows you to view how many pokers tables are playing as well as the stakes at any given time. Does Mt. Airy have a website or app which will allow me to see how many tables are playing?

NLO is not sustainable. Ive been trying for 2 years to get them to spread PLO but the answer is always they're not approved to spread it. Maybe the "new managment" will change that.

They spread it last Sat. So hopefully things are changing. Looking at the lists on bravo seems its much busier this Sunday than last.

Also please note in the next month or 2 mt airy is changing their loyalty/comp card. Exact details unknown but the poker rate is supposed to increase. Will hike out any more info as I get it.

Running one day doesn't mean anything, it's ran in the past at the 1/2, 2/5 and once at 5/10 levels. NLO is not a sustainable game. Have you been playing there long? I played there every day for a year in 2010 and then gradually much less over time. I have a hard time having faith in them improving on poker after years of suggesting and hoping but it would be nice and I'm glad your here to keep us posted on their progress.

The only reason there are more games than there has been this Sunday is because the big MSPD BBJ finally hit so the regulars in between there and Airy are saving some gas playing at Airy again.

I used to play there 4x per week in 2010 and now play once every 2 months at best now. Parx, Sands, & Airy are all equal distance from me in north jersey but its just a shame to see what has happened to their poker room. At 8am every morning there are 2-3 Omaha games running at Parx w/ a full waiting list. And at Sands at least the 5/10 full kill goes off on Fridays and the 1/2 PLO is a regular game. If Airy has no interest in promoting poker room or listening to the players the they should just close up shop and put in slots!!!

I don't mean to sound like a jackass here, but of course I will. Are the dealers at Mount Airy trained through the community college casino course like other dealers in the area (state?), or is it all on the job? The last dealer had someone standing behind them the entire down, and this new one actually has someone instructing him ("now, muck his hand. Count his chips. Now pull in $80...")

On another note, if anyone is interested, neither the afternoon nor evening tourney went tonight.

I believe most of them are trained at the school. Airy rotates their dealers all over the casino. It was probably a dealer who has never dealt poker before. If the dealer is having a hard time or people complain they do this to try and help the inexperienced dealer out a little and keep the game moving along quicker.

Both through a community college and through the casino. As I posted a few posts ago they are training a bunch of new dealers. Be glad it happened on a Tuesday not a Friday or Saturday lol.
