Any trip reports since they raised the buy-in at $1-2? Did the minimum also increase? Rake?

Min has not increased although I’m not 100% on that just what a player told me.

Rake confirmed increased to $6 (plus whatever promo idk)

Sat in a game for an hour or so last night and could definitely notice deeper stacks. Should make for some juicier games overall.

Thanks for the update! Raising the buy-in for this game was long overdue. I'll have to take a ride over and check it out.

Since it’s pot limit, is the cap different for 1–2?

$400 max, same as 1/2 NL. Went up last week from $300

Mohawgs is correct for the no limit. But for one two PLO 8 it is $60 to $300

Any chance of management changing it to match the NL buy-in? If anything PLO max buy-in should be greater than NL Holdem, not smaller.

This must be an oversight, it should be the same as NL

2/5 PLO and 2/5 NL have the same max.

Personally I don't care whether it's 300 or 400. But I do realize that the majority of people would rather have it at 400. So we are having another 1-2 PLO8 hi lo game Friday somewhere around 5:00 p.m. hopefully we'll wind up with two tables. I'll ask everybody if they want to go to management and ask them to change it. We'll see what happens.

In case anybody's interested. Besides our regular Monday Tuesday and Wednesdays 8:16 OE games we are having a special 8. 16 OE game tomorrow. Sunday at somewhere around noon. All are invited

This Sunday is our monthly first Sunday of the month 8-16 horse game. October 1st at 10:00 a.m. last month we had two full tables and a five-person waiting list. Hopefully we'll even get more people for this month

Has anyone played PLO @ Mohegan Sun?
I heard it's been running on the regular and there's tons of action players.
The same source confirned it will be the new PLO hub of the East coast within 6 months.
Any truth to this?

PLO runs here typically only on promotion days (double points, status). Plays smaller and more passive than the Foxwoods game. Can't imagine this room will ever be the PLO hub of the East Coast as management is very reluctant to ever start any game with a short list that isn't NLHE.

Just curious why Wednesdays here seem to have high volume, particularly 2/5?

There’s a particular player that got banned from the other casino and now the game is forming around him at Mohegan. That’s the real reason Mohegan plo has been running.

In the past Mohegan has been reluctant to start even start a plo game.

And that player if it's who I think it is, is as shady as it gets. Don't let anything he does convince you otherwise.

That doesn’t sound like the same player… maybe someone else

Goes to show you that HORSE probably will have more momentum than just plain OE.
Maybe try HORSE games on weekdays versus Sundays, lots of people who work service industry jobs (dealers and bartenders) really don’t have weekends off.

This was my thought as well. Probably should start playing slightly higher stakes as well (maybe $10-20?) as the $6 rake at $7.50-15 is pretty brutal.

Make it a 9/18 HORSE with them turtle chips and I’ll try to be a once a week regular.
