Here is the correct link:
https://www.bostonherald.com/2013/12...olent-history/

Yes, he is a convicted bank robber who likes to play poker in the area. As I understand it, he is no longer welcome at Encore or Chasers.

Some felt that he has served his debt to society by completing his jail sentence, and should be welcome in the poker room. Others think that he is still a dangerous person who should be avoided.

I did play PLO with him once. I won't sit at the same table with him again. And yes, he did scam several poker players (away from the tables).

I was certain that guy looks exactly like him minus 8 years, a few lbs, and the tattoos. But possible I made a mistake. He used an account under the name Veronica Kalil to scam me, and I googled Veronica Kalil and that article came up and I thought that was him for sure. Just felt the community should know the guys history and that he's not living honestly and is actively scamming people. The rooms that have banned him are definitely making the right decision. Just a matter of time before he does something ****ed up. I also overheard him talking to his buddies about other criminal behaviours they are involved with. I'm comfortable outing him as a piece of ****.

Ya I’ve played plo w him…

He’s a friendly guy… maybe too friendly?? Good for the game. Probably why he wasn’t kicked out sooner.

The last day he was playing plo at FW he tripled up w some bs hand and the regs were so mad he was then asked to leave after winning those pots. They were perfectly fine playing w him even knowing he was supposed to be banned.

My first encounter w him he asked if I had cash app luckily my cash app was frozen for years so I dodged a bullet on that one.

Wow. Just saw that they changed the already turbo structure of the Saturday tournament to an absolute abomination:

-Upped the buyin to $160 ($130+$30 from $125+$25)
-Decreased the starting chips from 20k to 15k

Pre-Covid it was 25k starting stack with 25min levels and it was still usually 12bb average stack at the FT. This is pure insanity now. I used to play it almost every weekend and was planning on going back on Saturday. It's starting to be not worth it, even with the field being 90% fun players who have no clue

Agree that 20min blinds is a joke. Every third Saturday they have a $350 (300+50) with 30k starting and 30 min levels, which is a little better. This is the only half-decent tournament they run anymore. They are the only poker room of any decent size that never runs a tournament series, although they used to have the Summer and Winter Showdowns long ago.

There is not a single poker room in New England the runs a tournament series.

Lol, who has run a tournament series since Covid? Even prior to that Foxwoods was the only one who did.

Even that one is worse than before. It used to be $330 ($300+$30). They disguise it as a higher buy in to rival the FW Sunday tournament, but it's just higher rake. I think they're getting super greedy with this mini boom happening. I played the Saturday tournament a month or so ago and it got 180 runners which was crazy to me. Suddenly, now, they make the structure shallower and increase the rake. I get that they want the tournaments to be over faster to open up more cash tables, but they also took away almost 10 tables since moving to the new room (right?). There's plenty of open space for a couple more tables, which would be full on weekends. Tournaments are massively popular, and bring people to the poker room, and thus the casino. Why are these rooms so horribly managed?

I remember Brian from Foxwoods earlier this year. He was asking anyone and everyone if they had CashApp because he went broke at the table and had no cash on him. He would send $500 and you give him $450 or $400 in cash, can't remember which of the two it was.

Yes most every week. Very Friendly game ask the guy (can’t give names here) who texts everyone and get weekly updates when changes are made.
sometimes a horse game will be planed too. I think a horse game is planed in a few weeks so someone can tell you.
ItÂ’s the first table near the door and last week we had a must move going for awhile.
good luck.
Just say the guy who posts on 2 plus 2 gave you the advice.

Hello moderators. This will be my first post in this highly regarded group. But I don't wish to do something that is out of bounds. I am the player who basically coordinates and schedules all of the high low mix games at Mohegan Sun. Am I allowed to give our current schedule of games to fish fry and also mention my first name? I don't wish to do this unless it is acceptable to the moderators. Thanks in advance for your response.

Can you still use momentum dollars to buy into the tournaments?

Same. I think it’s fair to say he can post the schedule. Just no names allowed.
Even tho I have a slight idea of who he is.

Regarding the 7. 50/15 O. E. Pink chip game. We have been playing regularly for about a year and a half. At the moment we have 122 members. I text them once a week with updates reminders and schedule changes. We play every Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Plus, Starting next week , Friday August 11th, we will be playing every Friday evening as well. Here are the times for each game.
MONDAY... around 1:30 p.m. or whenever there are enough names on the list.
.. TUESDAY.... around noon. Or whenever there are enough names on the list...
.. WEDNESDAY..... 9:00 a.m. sharp. I suggest that you get there a little bit earlier in order to have a chance to get into the first nine seats. Although the past three weeks we have had two games going. Including a second full game with a decent size list....
FRIDAY... starting next Friday August 11th we are starting a game at around 6:00 p.m.. or whenever enough players are on the list. So next Friday will be the first game . hopefully it will be a tremendous success. Anybody who has a chance to get there, please do so. This is just an experiment. If it doesn't go well after a couple of weeks we will abandon it. Hopefully that won't happen.
.... finally. We have an occasional but rare HORSE game on SUNDAY August 13th at 10:00 a.m.. this was put together by popular request. People have been asking me for a while but until now I did not have enough interest. If everybody that says they're coming does show up we will clearly have two tables going. I'm not sure yet if I can give my name. But if you come to the poker room and you'd like to speak with me , anybody can tell you who I am. Players and dealers a l i k e.

Just an update on my previous post above. Our first Friday evening 7.50-15 O.E. game went great. It lasted until 1:30 a.m.. Full Table until 11:30 p.m. and the game ended with seven players. So we will add Friday evening game to our regularly scheduled Monday Tuesday and Wednesday Day games. Also the Sunday horse game had two full tables and up to five people on the waiting list. It went well into the evening. So from now on we will have a horse game on the first Sunday of every month at 10:00 a.m. starting in October. So mark your calendars if you like horse. Finally we are going to try a 1- 2 PLO8 hi l o game on Sunday September 10th at 10:00 a.m.. hope this information helps some of you.
