mohegan offers a better tourney structure than the woods…they give you more chips, more levels, and longer levels in pretty much any tourney…i feel like if they advertised this fact they could draw better…looking forward to the summer showdown….what satellite to the 1000 will draw the most players? the 6 pm's on wed/thursday, or the 2 pm on friday?

The showdown has awful structures what are you talking about?

I have noticed many of their Festival Events have structures worse than their dailies......(both still tend to be better than Foxwoods as a general statement/opinion).

Cant say why they do this tho

the showdown tournies will all have you starting with more chips than a foxwoods event with the same buy in, will have more levels then a foxwoods event with the same buy in, and will give you more starting chips than foxwoods would with a similar buy in….for example, a $120 at the woods will have less than 20k starting stack, 20 minutes or less levels, and no 75-150, or 150-300 levels, among others…so you were saying?

The 330 at the showdown starts you at 15k in chips. Please do your research before making absolute remarks . Your better off playing a daily at Mohegan than the showdown

15K for $330?? Foxwoods run there Sat morning $300 starts with 25K chips. I don't see how that could be better.

ok, so they fooled me by giving you more chips in the 120 than the 330, however mohegan will offer 30 minute levels and will have more of those levels….i just remember most tourney at foxwoods that are under 500/400 will not have all the levels or 30 min levels…im basically trying to argue that overall moheagn has better structures, but overall foxwoods usually draws more players for tournaments, especially a series

A friend and I just played at one of the most action packed 1-2 tables we've ever seen. Almost 90 percent of the hands were straddled. The preflop aggression was insane too for a live game, with constant raises, 3-bets, and 4-bets.

I've sat a lot of 1-2 tables lately that are boring limpfests, so this was a pleasant surprise.

I'm seeing 10/20NLH and 25/50 NL listed on Bravo right now. I'm guessing these games don't normally run very often?

That's how they list 1-2 and 2-5

Did this table have an aggressive player in seat 1 with a $1k+ stack and a player or two with over max buy-in this past friday?

No, that was not the table we were at. This table did have a regular though who is a real action player. He helped bring out the craziness in everyone.

Does anyone know if there's really some sort of "suite committee" that determines whether you get a suite or not? Reason for this question is a month or two ago, my dad had every single room available comped for him. He booked the deluxe sky suite for today, July 5, 2014. When I checked his account online, it got rebooked as a regular king room. When I called them to inquire about the room change, the lady said there's a suite committee that determines who gets a suite or not.

First time I've ever heard of this

I don't know about Mohegan but Foxwoods has one. They decide who gets the super suites daily and regular suites on weekends. It makes sense, as they'd rather their highest rollers get them instead of a lower player who happened to book it first. So wouldn't surprise me if Mohegan did as well.

If you were able to book it and THEY changed it, that's unfair imo. I understand the whole suite committee thing it makes sense but as far as I know at Foxwoods only that committee can book those rooms for you. So if Mohegan allowed him to book it and then screwed him out of it, that's BS.

^^ good point I overlooked the fact that he actually had it booked originally. I completely agree.

I understand where they're coming at with needing the sky suites for their more profitable players. I have a feeling a host had us bumped off for one of their whales. Granted my dad's not an ascend or soar (just a leap) member, he's been getting free rooms for a while. Ever since he got leap, suites have been available in their booking calendar if booked in advance.

I used to be treated with respect being a regular down in Atlantic City. I wish Mohegan's "suite committee" didn't screw my dad's sky suite booking. If it's any consolation, I was able to change his king bed "downgrade" to a two queen. Woohoo!

Yikes, I would make at least a little fuss about the suite being taken away without any contact. That seems like a sketchy way to treat a leap customer.
