You tell me if I over tipped? I think not since the $1319 fell outta the sky on me, & I've heard of Dealers getting, not even a thank you from some High Hand winners.
they shouldn't mine, unless they also take the blame for my bad beats.

Just to give everybody a heads up Mohegan sun is now giving out $3 an hour for 2-5 I was in a sick game with players I've never seen before...

It definitly had a vegas feel to it with the game being upstairs and food served if u wanted it....

Mohegan seems to have made a strong move in the 2-5 has been there staple game from day 1

Even though I'm really a limit player I'll play 2-5 for the value it would be nice to get a pink game going(7.50-15.00) I no the director has no prob spreading any game of interest with foxwoods cutting off the 5-10 it may be a good time to start up some mid level limit games

Any interested in starting up a game pm me

pink game went today 7.50-15.00 limit holdem --started around 1 PM. Still had 8 players when I left at 7:30PM. It was playing like a 3-6 game for a while ( 6 players seeing the flop). The game had a few FW dealers in it (this is a good thing). It took me awhile to snap out of NL mode. They are going to try it again tommorrow.

I walked by the Wolf Den at 7:30PM. There was no line and they had some available seats left for Tonic. A couple a weeks ago they were lined up about 50 deep at 2:30PM for Nelson.

Was at MS over the weekend.

They have recently instituted some new rules.

They now have the "Third Man Walking" rule (can pick up the third person to be away from the table after 10 minutes) in place but no one expects it to be strictly enforced.

Also, they have prohibited showing your hand to get a read or reaction even if heads-up. First violation gets you a warning, but I didn't bother to ask what the penalties are for additional violations as I don't do this.

were you playing thurs night, early friday? i sat in that last game. big swings, lotta fun, some really determined donators... sadly i did not reap as much of it as i wanted, had to leave in am.

i too heard about the new rule-- can't display cards heads up.
a 2/5 dealer was trying to defend the rule, but it made absolutely no sense. i really don't care, affects me minimally, but it just seems silly. why would they need to "protect" new players (one of the silly reasons i heard for it) at an $800 buy in 2/5 game?

the weird buyin amounts are another issue. 200 is too low, and if you're gonna have 800, why not just 200BB at $1000? how about a smaller $200-500 2/5 game, and a bigger 5/5 game with $300-1000 or more, since they seem to have trouble getting regular 5/10 games?

anyway, small issues. i like the room a lot.

I suspect the "third man" rule is to allow them to have a few less dealers in during a shift and keep the wait lists reasonable. Last time I was there, they opened too many tables and it seemed 1/2 and 2/5 tables were perpetually two to three players short. It will be enforced only when they are over max capacity for the # of dealers they have.

Mohegan Sun is really working to keep the # hands/hr high, which I approve of. The people who are showing one or two cards during a hand slow down the game by giving, "the speech," and hoping for a tell. MS can't say this, but I'm sure they are aware of the benefit of eliminating this.

Just my 2 cents.

saw someone ask for a menu at the game a few days ago so I assume so....guessing someone can give a more definitive answer, as I've never ordered food and only played there a few times.

<cross-posting in FW thread as well> Going to either FW or MS this weekend, what kind of games can i expect? I'd be playing anything from 2/5NL+ or 15/30LHE+... do many games like these get off these days? Are there any PLO or mixed games on the weekend?

Just my 2 cents.
I guess I contributed to this. But I did show my card HU only once and
did not hold the game. I did not even needed a tell from the player at that
hand.
The Asian guy was moved to our table with about 1.5K stack and played very tight for at least an hour. So he gained some more chips. I have to crack him
somehow. That's why I did show the card and loudly declared that he "gave me a tell". Then I flashed couple of my uncalled hands , showing bluffs.
After that guy lost 2/3 of his stack in about 20-30 minutes and left.
So what was wrong ? Or maybe I should play only my pocket cards?
BTW at least 2 MS regulars where perfectly understanding what's going on
and immediately switched to play "loose table".

P.S. I am going to be at MS this afternoon. Will play 2/5NL or 5/10NL.
Strangely enough ,but I never been at MS on Tuesday.
Guys, I will appreciate you comments about MS Tuesday specifics.

I'm sure you're not the problem.

However, there's always the guy on the river who goes, "Can you beat a pair of kings? I've got a king." 30 second wait. "Come on, I'll let you pick card." Places cards in middle of table. Other guy thinks for 30 seconds and flips one over. "See I have it. You've probably got my kicker beat, so I can't show you that." Another wait. Other guy groans and leans back in chair. And so it goes.

Or he acts second and jaws at you for a minute, then turns up his cards and waits another minute to see if he can get a tell.

You are so right. And it's so annoying.
I honestly don't know what a player acting like this trying to achieve.
I always trust first moment = instinctive tells. But when you are steering at somebody for a long time , then most likely he will give away a fake tell.
But "no show" restriction will not prevent stupid hollywoods on the river or HU.
Not a big issue for me. Just preparing myself for today's session.

About "no show" rule. We talk about it at MS tonight and called a floor
for clarification. So floor manager said , that there are no such restriction.
( I played 2/5NL and bounty tournament ).

As about food service at a poker table. I cannot see any benefit or use of it.
I normally do 10-12 hours sessions and perfectly survive without food.
However if I am hungry , I'll better take a break and go away for a food.
It will allow me to eat and take a good look at the game and rethink
my strategy. I believe that breaks are really useful and necessary part of the game session.

First off -- I haven't been to FW in about 18 months. I really like the Sun. I was a regular in the old room - I'm a regular in the new room.

I think the HHJ is great for small stakes.

BUT - I think you guys need to survey the 2-5NL players about the HHJ. If 70% of the 2-5 players don't want it, don't include this game in the HHJ.

I think FW got it right by not including the 2-5 in there new BBJ .. (that line really pained me to write)
