Probably 80% of the time I am there, I see him and he is always wearing the same exact suit. He has greyish hair and is probably in his 50's. Just curious.
Yeah I asked him about the jacket, he said that he wears it because it's distinctive. LOL. He also said he wears a black one in the winter. From what I can tell, he's awful at cash, okay at mtt's and makes/has money from elsewhere.

Ya'll got to realize, that as one, ( being ya'll ) points a finger. Four fingers are pointing back at you!
Now can we get onto Poker @ the Sun, had a nice $1/$2 PL OMAHA (high only)game going for awhile, late afternoon, just not enough poker players willing to challenge themself to anything other than NL holdem.
MoheganSun will spread any poker game you wish to play, all that's needed is willing players.

Anyone here play the level 1 satellites they have going for the main event? $75 buy in. Might play in one at 10am tomorrow.

Curious about
1) How many people have been playing the 10am satellites (or the 6pm level 2s)
2) What is the starting chip stack--6k?
3) Is it a stupid plan to play 10am, play cash all day, then play 6pm level 2.
4) If I happen to keep advancing but cannot play due to work, is there any option of cashing out for 2k, or is it an entry only?

Haven't usually played satellites at MS, but that's the only way I can justify trying to play in the main event. ("But honey, it was only $75, so it's like a freeroll! I'm already a winner!")

I just got home, 3:00AM, was work'n my way up to the $1/$2 PL game, but it broke as I was killing a $2/$4 limit table. $135 in under an hr, was @ the $1/$2nl as they were calling last call on the booze, that kinda killed the nite, as players left for whatever they do without a drink........CYA in the AM

they changed the buy at 2/5 again ... its now 200/800.
Now all they need to do is remove the high hand from the 2/5 game

number of games dropped due to 1/2 players staying away and not taking shots. I like the limit works

dude sounds like you need a short stack buy in session way above your roll. I recommend you head to the sun sit 5/10 when it goes with 200 and have some fun

This pisses me off...I only got to the Sun 2x while it was 1k max and the money was flowing like it was coming out of an ATM. I just hope it doesn't change back too much where the $1/$2 nits come in with $250 and play like rocks.

Do the 1/2 "nits" do that at 2/5? I (regrettably) play 1/2 daily and I've just completely let go of the concept of fold equity, since it's a guarantee that they ain't folding.

Just curious.

Well for some odd reason the Mohegan Sun bus thread got deleted, so for the person that asked, yes you can buy the tickets right at the window at GCT. Just ask them for the Mohegan package, there's like 8 departures daily that have a bus waiting in New Haven, check the schedule. I rode it a few times when my car was in for repair. They give you free play for about 1/2 the cost of the trip, it ends up costing less than driving, just takes a lot longer than driving.

This is one of the reasons I have sworn off 1/2...because at 2/5, you tend to have players that actually know a bit about the game and play their cards accordingly.

Disclaimer: I say "tend" because there are still plenty on morons that play recklessly, yet if you idetify them early, you can make a killing off them (hence my favoritism for the higher buy-in).

Just woke up from a trip North to NH Poker @ Rockingham, they play $1/$2, $2/$4, & $4/$4 limit holdem only, but the bright spot was a OMAHA $2/$4 H/L table with a waiting list.
Betting on the Nags was good to me, paid off the trip.
Donkfest @ these levels on the POKER, but we'll knew that going in......Flop the str8 in holdem, & no foldem holdem to the river, bottem pair called me down as the board when J910, 10, 10. Q/8 vs A/9 5 callers...... & I got to cap the bets on the flop & turn, & they called???
