Played 2/5 for 9 hours Saturday. Some observations:
-2/5 rake was 10% up to $5 plus $2 for the bad beat jackpot. Brutal.
-Cash does not play on the table. Something about MA rules. Someone needs to explain that to me. If you get stacked / stack someone you can't just pay out of your pocket to keep your chips and resume play quickly since the other person can't keep cash on the table.
-The chip runners suck. Dealers were literally keeping track of who owed who what because people were playing without chips in front of them.
-Mississippi straddle here. Can straddle from anywhere but button gets preference and forces preflop action to the left of the straddle (this is awesome).
-There are no seat change buttons. Don't exist here.
-The 1/2 is capped at $500, the 2/5 is capped at $1,000 and the 5/10 is uncapped.
-I'm not used to this as a CT player but limit games allow a bet and 4 raises (unless head up). I'm used to a bet and 3 raises.
-There was a table fill about every hour / hour and half. Super frequent for some reason.
-Floor is super slow at filling empty seats. No one has radios, they just run around all over the place. When names are called it's like once and then they just stop even if the seat was never filled. This needs work.
-Some familiar faces, both players and dealers, which was to be expected opening weekend. Some new dealers are literally at 10 hands/hr.
-Have waitresses but there's also a self serve area for soft drinks and coffee. Have red bull and sugar free red bull the waitresses will bring
that's a plus for me haha
-Might have been a combination of just being opening weekend, but maybe not - with higher capped buyins and Mississippi straddle on, games were playing larger than normal. Our 2/5 was def a 2/5/10 like the whole time. Lotta action.
-They made the pot right for every all in. Couldn't just have an all in and call and figure it out after the river. Super slow this way.
