You have chosen a poor analogy.

With the exception of fire alarms and cancer, the above would keep anybody away if they occured on a daily basis.

I would still come too if a fire alarm happened every day.

And if I had cancer already and I'm physically capable, why wouldn't I come in?

Today, one of the floor managers told me that next weekend (Labor Day) the lucky table promotion on Friday and Saturday will be $500. I then asked him if the $500 was just for Labor Day weekend or for the month of September. He really didn't give me a straight answer. About an hour later, a dealer told me that it will be for the whole month of September (Friday and Saturday will be $500 and Sunday will be $200). In addition, the lucky table will run from 9:15am-3:15pm, an extra hour. Was the dealer correct? Thanks for your help in advance.

Do any promos run besides lucky table and high hands? Maryland had a promo awhile back that was $500 for 80 hours of play for the month I think? Anything similar to that in the future?

Probably isn't the best way to ask but you miss every shot you don't take!

Anyone looking to take a 1/3-2/5 grinder under their wing to help give a little guidance and help to? I put in roughly 20-30 hours a week there.

It would be helpful if Bravo were updated in the next day or two to include this information for 8/31 and 9/1, along with the month of September's promos being updated by 8/31.

Non poker suggestion for the room. Install a mirror in the corner of the entrance to the area behind the bar on the left. Most of the waitresses say “Corner” when they go in/out because the hallway is so narrow you can’t fit two of them with trays going through it. A mirror would let them see around the corner to see if anyone else is coming and avoid running into each other, which almost happened twice while I was eating nearby.

Thanks for the quick response. I have to say, that is one hell of a promotion. I may have to call in sick every Friday (except the 7th) in September!

Johnny - was in the poker room over the weekend, and think the fumes players are complaining about are a result of the pizza ovens in Snacks needing to be cleaned - had a very similar issue at home after a spillage in my oven and experienced similar fumes until the oven was cleaned - if Snacks cleans the ovens, and continues to do so regularly, i’m almost 100% positive the air quality will improve and, most importantly, the players will be able to breathe easily as they play

Anyone know the structure for the Junkies Poker Open on Sept 7? Came into the office on Monday and the boss offered to give me the day off and pay my entry fee, so obviously I'm playing. Also, does registration open Thursday night with the "pre-registration NFL kick-off party?"

There is a new-ish brush stand person who, if you ask for a table change, will physically come and tap you on the shoulder to inform you that your table change is ready, confirm if you'll take it, and then personally tell the new table that a table change is coming in.

I can't overstate enough how much better this procedure is compared to what normally happens. If this somehow became the standard (or you assigned one floor person to be responsible for table changes), this would dramatically reduce confusion and arguments - and significantly improve the organization and overall experience in the room.

I don't think that promo exists anymore. The main promos are high hand and lucky table drawings these days. And, do you mainly play 2-5 or 1-3?

Any idea what happened to the Chris Moneymaker Platinum Pass tournament that was supposed to take place on the 15th? The stop at MGM NH is no longer listed on the schedule here: https://www.pokerstars.com/en/blog/m...spc-tour.shtml. However, if you check pokernews here https://www.pokernews.com/news/2018/...sses-31346.htm they list the original schedule which shows a stop at MGM. Johnny, any comment on this?

Yes. We cancelled the stop due to conflicts. I made Lee Jones aware at the beginning of August. Multiple outlets had the schedule posted. As I am
Made aware of these, I reach out and ask them to pull the event down.

I hope one of the new announcements coming is that the Mississippi straddle is abolished at NL. Even the few people I know who liked the idea at first have all changed their minds to now wanting it gone.

Folks just to remind you, as confirmed by JG, there is no $500 lucky table promo tomorrow.

They have a junkies poker open tournament tomorrow.

The calendar on MGM-NH site for September is incorrect.
