Johnny, according to Bravo, there are 3 ways to win a seat to the PPO main, one of which is a weekly satty on Friday and Saturday at 11am. Will that begin this Friday, Nov. 3rd? If so, what is the buy-in and starting stack?

At Maryland LIVE, poker comps expire after a 90-day period of inactivity. At Dover Downs, poker comps never expire. What is the policy at MGMNH?

Shake Shack is owned by a third party. NOt sure about the sushi, but will investigate.

High Hand and Lucky Table have changed back to hourly. We have also changed the amounts back to $500 per person for first 2 drawings on Friday and Saturday.

I always assumed it was a time issue. Shake Shack and the sushi place take a lot longer to get your order than the other National Market venues and that would really cause a problem for the food runners.

I know that SS is owned by a third party, but I'm not sure why that would matter.

I assumed it was too, but I was talking to one player about it, and they said that the sushi place is often faster than other places in the food court. And I can't imagine SS takes much longer than any other place.

At peak business, SS is the busiest outlet, with a substantial line. This drastically increases wait times.

Seems pretty common for the floor staff to be standing around watching sports center, talking amongst themselves, playing on their phones or doing absolutely nothing. Players have long ago figured out that for stuff like table changes you simply can't rely on them. Even yesterday, I tried calling the brush stand twice to call ahead for a game and no one could be bothered to pick up. I let the phone ring 20 times and just gave up. I get that the room is sometimes busy and people's hands are full but many times it seems to be plain laziness.

I️ have never had an issue with the floor.

I had to find a floor to get paid after I busted from a tourney earlier this week. The first floor I found couldn't help me.

I have experienced this a few times and it's really a bummer. Often people are somewhat annoyed when they bust out of a tournament even if they cash (well, I am) because they took a bad beat or got coolered. Having to wait around to get paid is just an added needle.

This doesn't happen at Maryland Live. You just walk to the podium and someone is always waiting there to pay you. It's their job to just stand there.

I think MGM really needs to improve on this in order to be considered a first class tournament venue.

I'm curious as to how the ratio of games to wait lists determines new games. When there are 33 people on both 1/3 and 2/5 lists with 20 tables and 7 tables respectively, why open another 1/3? Not complaining (ok ok, maybe a little), just wondering what the strategy is and where the cutoff is. I imagine the player turnover is higher at 1/3 anyway so would lists move faster overall with an extra 2/5 game when there are already 20 1/3s?

Likelihood is much higher that when you seat a player in a 1/3 game that’s their game of preference. Some players are on only 1/3, while at least 25-30% are on both lists. If you seat a player in a 2/5 game, or open a game, you effectively clear both lists.

Thanks for the insight. I don't don't you know what you're doing, just curious. Also, players seem to be pretty happy with the return to hourly drawings. Nice to see some change from the previous months.

I don't think that's running today, Bravo says Nov 11, 18, and 25.

They were hard at work on finishing up the parking gates today. The gates are now up. They have cameras installed behind the gates to read licence plates I assume. Looks like its only a matter of time until the start charging.
