Omg I’m so excited. Sure there will be 20 less seats on a busy night, but for all the non packed times it will be a blessing.

The unofficial update is that we will see changes to tournaments for Federal Holidays from two currently to one. Only one event would be offered in the morning. It would be a higher buy-in. I hope they don’t listen to some and make it a 5K buy-in and kill it once for all.

I feel, just my 2c, a buy-in between 150-300 would fly well hence my suggestion $235 BI. I wouldn’t mind 250 BI/25 min levels/15K as a starter.

I heard there was a brawl involving some people. Security personnel and Police were involved near the bar. The surpring thing is we didn’t hear a thing in the tournament area. I am not sure whether this is related to the closure.

Apparently this happened around 6-7 AM. They cleaned the place by the time the tournament started.

yeah supposedly a couple people were going at it, and then their friends started confronting each other, the people I talked to said the one actual police officer seemed overwhelmed by the amount of chaos happening and decided to mace the situation, they supposedly closed L2 for a couple hours to clean up...

Hopefully they will hire more police for upstairs during the peak late-night bar hours (I mean who would have thought that drunk people at 3 AM moving to one of the only open restaurants (with nearby bar) would spell trouble

New grill and doors installed in front of the poker room in L2.

I guess the fight resulted in additional measures to keep people safe.

Yeah, who would’ve guessed that opening a McDonalds and a bar next to it could cause any inconvenience for players in “exclusive high limit area”.

McDonalds is like a Michelin star restaurant compared to Snacks.

And some good news---the bar is supposedly charging $4 for soda. Finally!

It's almost as if somebody couldn't explain why the room/area failed to produce expected revenue and came up with solutions to problems that never existed.

What?! They are now charging $4 for a soda? How much do they charge for water?!

I've had to bypass the waitresses on several occasions to get a drink, mostly because the 45-1 hour wait is annoying and I'd rather tip a person that's attentive. Some of these waitresses don't earn their wages/tips.

If the waitresses are being bombarded by patrons asking for a drink, maybe they should make more frequent trips to get said beverages? I'm a patient person but waiting an hour at 8pm during prime time is absurd.

Water is free if you wait for the CW to come around

I think they should just throw in a few free soda machines around the poker room and it would fix it... pretty wild IMO...

I feel so bad for the one cocktail waitress on a Friday night. She’s trying so hard but people are understandably frustrated and getting mad at her.

That's a shame. Guessing at $20++ per hour that a waitress probably clears; she's making more than the majority of poker players in the room. With only one waitress on a Friday night, maybe a few people called out sick - or else their scheduler is the same one who has only 2 cashiers working on Saturday afternoons.

Problem is since it’s taking 30+ mins to get a drink a lot of people aren’t tipping.

The waitress who called in sick, and is sitting at home, is making more than the majority of poker players in the room. ;-)
