Even I can give that a +1. Thanks for the kind words, glad we got it right.

I would prefer nearly continuous fellatio while I play at MGM and a teleporter to get me from my house to the poker room, but the added expense wouldn't make business sense for MGM. Therefore, I understand why MGM might not be keen to honor my request.

Put another way, MDL and HB--MGM's most direct competition--do not offer Fiji water. What incentive does MGM have to offer it?
I really don't know why I've read so much hate on you over the years. You post seriously funny stuff and actually make sense 99% of the time.

Nice shameless plug for Wynn poker room.

MGM very well may become my new main room (currently MDL). It would be foolish of me not to try to encourage Johnny to match Wynn's level of expertise. So, yes, I guess you can call that a shameless plug with selfish intentions.

After having my fifth different meal this week at Wynn, all of which were fantastic, I realized how excited I am to soon be able to play in a room with quality food and healthy options.

I understand what you are saying. I went to the Beau Rivage back in the day, ran by Johnny Grooms at the time, and it was a top notch poker room. I think MGMNH is in good hands.

That was just because we gave out complimentary alcohol. Its easy to have a great poker room when everyone gets free booze!

When will the poker room open? Same time as the full casino or will it be sometime after? I'm getting tired of driving to Live, looking forward to this.

hm.. the difference between Anthony's Delaware poker room and his current Baltimore poker room is free booze as well.
and right now Baltimore horseshoe's poker room is sucking big time!

based on a sample size of 2 (horseshoe/md live), you only have a 50% chance of success w/o alcohol.

hope you have a Plan B

I don't think Delaware law ever allowed for free alcohol. I know it doesn't now.

Johnny, wondering if you've thought at all about a wait list time/policy for calling names - off what is certain to be a massive list.

IMO one of the most idiotic things about MDL is the unbelievable amount of time they allow names that are called on a list to respond. I've seen it take over an hour to fill an empty seat because dealers/the floor just are not interested in pushing through the list. There will be a 100+ person waitlist and it wouldn't matter. They allow a seemingly endless amount of time.

Additionally, any thoughts to a texting system or anything like that?

Delaware never had free booze.

Plan B involves a great product, a great facility, a great staff, and a room with great action...

Yes. And we will have a text alert for the list that will work all over the property.

Any chance that free smoothies can be an option? The Aria has these, and they're awesome.

Yeah I went to Dover for a Bachelor party a few years back and I had to pay for beers, IIRC they were cheaper than MDL HSB though (maybe that was just boonie pricing)
