It matters to the guy who is asking for employees to deliver food from Chipotle.

I have a poker bag, with a sweatshirt in it. I have never had anyone look past the sweatshirt when I'm 'searched'. I could carry my two 9mms into the room in my poker bag and never get noticed. (NO, I'VE NEVER THOUGHT OF IT, I'M JUST MAKING A POINT)

So I'm pretty sure someone smuggling in a Chipotle burrito in a Live! bag won't get noticed. Just put napkins on top of it.

This really needs to be said? It's one thing to do it yourself and get away with (with 100% success rate). It's another to ask Mike if he can arrange the food runner to go to Chipotle and bring it for him.

Maybe not compared to table games. But I wouldn't call 80k/day in rake alone 'not much money'

With enough regs missing to start and sustain these games everyday they absolutely would feel the difference. Lol @ you thinking we as players can't make a difference

sense of entitlement?

the casino has business arrangements with 3 outside restaurants that someone has already mentioned.
not to mention their own internal restaurants.

it makes no business sense to allow you to bring in chipolte's. smuggled in is a different story...
but geez.. spending 1hr everytime to get it?!

With the waiting lists that Live generally has I highly doubt they would even notice if a dozen or so regs sat out.

The 4/8 O8 regulars sit out all the time and they don't even have an agenda (or at least I don't think they do).

Exactly.

Yeah so a dealer said to me the other day: just put your Chipotle in a Cheesecake bag. I love that dealer so I would never say who.

Can you assure me that I wouldn't get kicked out if I did this consistently?

What about booze?

Casino employees are able to bring in food from outside. Some of us put in more hours than they do.

We also are not allowed to bring it on the casino floor.

An example of what tilts me is seeing the poker cage manager sipping on Starbucks.

Lol at asking for assurances at breaking the rules. Casinos tend to not be thrilled by open defiance.

Food - if you're discrete and claim ignorance or allergy or whatever, it's pretty unlikely you're gonna be given a lot of grief. If you're in the open and seen as encouraging others to break rules, that's probably another matter.

Booze - my uninformed opinion is that you're courting significant consequences. Good luck claiming ignorance on that one.

Interesting news. If I had to guess (and I am purely speculating here), I'd say Mike got many requests to do so. The main game can get "infested" for lack of a better word with a bunch of folks that play maybe 3 hands an hour on a loose frisky day. When it gets that bad, pots rarely get over $30, and the game is boring as crap. Given the number of promos being run lately, this may actually be good for the game. Thanks Mike!

im thinking 1/2 nl is better than 4/8 limit for sept's flopped hands promo.
you just need to see the flop. check/fold if u don't hit with 37 suited

Based on past experience I would say nobody, including the dealer, is going to care if you smuggle in your on chipotle or liquor. It is probably a bad idea in general though.

Also, LOL at bringing up Ding Dong in this discussion.

My experience at MDL 1/2 is you would never make it to the flop since anyone with a pocket pair will jam pre-flop.

You forgot the arguing with other players and screaming at the floor for not filling an empty seat within 10 seconds of a player leaving.

While this is certainly part of the 4/8 O8 player experience, it doesn't fit neatly as an agenda item.

You might lose your mind waiting for A23x like the septuagenarians at the table.
