I just received paper mail with some bad news regarding this year's streak bonuses.
We are getting Supernova Elited. At least those of us who aren't consistent players at Live.
Instead of being given in a few big chunks as in the past, the $400 2017 streak bonus I earned over the last year is being given in *$25* chunks over *16* two-week periods. This does not work for me. I was never a weekly player at this cardroom. I play there roughly once per month. I actively made sure to hit my streak hours threshold in 2016 and was absolutely going to plan trips around the streak bonus payouts. $25 does not move the needle for me; it doesn't even cover the movement of a needle on my fuel gauge for a trip.
Frustratingly, the message above the payout schedule says:

Come on. Only a small portion of your customers would prefer this to the payout they thought they were earning with their play last year. And zero of your customers with play history like mine would.
Look, I feel like I put in effort to earn something of value to me and was instead given something of no value to me. I understand what the business incentives around this might be, and, to some extent, sure, I get it, but it's hard to not feel insulted by this message.
