Hi Flushchaser, will you be commuting from HK or do you have a place to stay at Macau during that period? I am planning to go there for cash games while the tourney takes place. But it's been hard to find a short term viable solution for accommodation

I usually sleep at a sauna that i pretty much sleep at everytime i go and i make the trip about once or twice a month. Its nice and clean, not grimy like most of the other ones, let me know if you want the address or something.

Since games go 24/7 in Macau, usually what I do is stay at hotel for a few days, play all night check into hotel again for another few days. So every few days I save on a night's hotel room. If you can play long hours this can work out pretty good and you can afford a decent hotel.

Or you can ask around at the tables, sometimes someone might have a free room for any period of time they want to rent out.

I may join the tournament too (in case I don't go for the home game in Hong Kong during that period), but maybe attending the smaller events

Hi guys - I've been out of the scene for quite a while, but I'm considering playing the opening $2k deep stack on Friday. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up. I'm sure I'll be rusty as hell. But it should be fun.

Will the pokerstars room at COD take your HKD cash and give you USD directly into your stars account?

no, the COD pokerstars room does not offer any depositing services

That's pretty lame... Any other options? I heard there is a limit of how much cash you can leave macau with. Anyone know the number?

Following laws regarding anti-money laundering sounds more like a sound business decision.

There is no limit on cash leaving Macau. It would be up to you to follow the rules of your arrival country obviously.

Hi there, is this still true or have they reopened? The hotel seems open for bookings on major sites so hopefully the spa is back up for overnight stays?

Also, if any 2+2ers wants to meetup or share costs for a room from tomorrow onwards please drop me a note at brylow@gmail.com.

Thanks.

Bro, might see you there if you are playing in COD. Also, what's the name/add of the spa you usually sleep at?

If you cash in a pokerstars tourney at COD you can get that amount transferred straight to your pokerstars account right?

I just had a chance to visit the newly renovated Wynn poker room and have to say that it feels a lot more comfortable than before. The changes are subtle - new carpeting, new white furniture - but the entire mood of the room seems to have changed - giving it a much more uplifting and cheerful atmosphere. The biggest change is they added a raised VIP area for higher stakes games.

For me the most awesome improvement is that they actually replaced all the chairs with much much more comfortable ones. I have griped about the old ones which they used for many years. That management took the effort to improve this aspect of the room really surprised me. A very sincere thank you!

For those interested. The Venetian will opening their poker room up again in the near future in a new location with junket affiliation. Nope, before you ask I have no idea on the amount of tables, limits or exact date of opening etc etc.

Only saw this now but all structures for tournaments at 'PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams' can be found at www.PokerStarsLIVEMacau.com

For structures specifically for the Macau Poker Cup series you can find it here:
