For sure. The cash games during the festivals are typically great, especially the EPT.

If you can confidently beat NL50 @ Tilt, you can be pretty sure to have an edge @ most tables in the Empire. The list bloats around the time of the afternoon tourney 6:30, shortens again, then peaks at about 10-12.
If i were u i'd turn up at around 7-8, should get a seat within 10 mins.

Fri/sat similar pattern but lists get ridiculous @ peak times, although many players put their name down then dissapear, so u get seated quickly if u hang around the cash desk. U can be 25th on the list and get seated in like 15mins, the system is a bit of a shambles. Tables are 1/2 min £50 bi

Just been to the Vic, never seen it so busy. Lists were huge but moved fast as i got there as tourney tables were breaking. All available tables ran cash games, 1/1 up to the big games, there were multiple omaha games running too.

Didn't seem juicer than usual though. I think the £330 event attracted quite a few grinders. My friend sat at another table shared my view (1/2 and 1/3 games) but we may have just been unlucky. I think the rebuy event may bring more action.

How many 1/1 tables did you see going? And at what sort of time did the lists seem to peak?

Unbelievable action at £1/£2 Empire last night. People just cannot fold. I had KK twice and managed to get it all in vs shortstacks in the following cases:

KK - raised to 13 preflop and got 2 callers. Flop was 39T and so I shipped it in for his extra 40. He SNAP called with KQ He misses his 3 non-spade jack outs and his runner-runner non-spade queens for the win. Unlucky for him.

KK - 3bet a madman's raise to 6 up to 26 preflop. Got three callers(!) The flop was 489r. Madman had 75 behind and checked. Random had 110 and checked. It's me to act with a guy behind me only sitting on short stack of 70 or so. I bet 55, effectively shipping it in. Guy behind folds and madman shoves. Random folds. I call.
Turn and river are both 5s and the madman shows 45 for the house. Then Random shouts "hey, I had 45 too!" *head slams on table*

Unbelievably juicy. You just can't beat it.

Think i'll stick to Empire 1/2 tonight

1/1 is lowest, then 1/2 and upwards. Chance of PLO games running as well.

what's the smallest plo game they have going?

Could be 1/2, could be 5/10, or no game at all. Really depends on whos in the room on the night. But infinitely more likely to have PLO at the Vic than the Empire.

Haven't seen any, but maybe. Generally anyone willing to play PLO would probably go for 1/2.
