I think there are a lot of very good live players, many more who are better than myself, but I can't think of any who grind 1/2 at the Vic. Or they wouldn't be grinding 1/2 at the Vic.

There seem to be some good players at fox grinding 1/1, 1/2. Or a few (but less) at empire on the 1/2-2/4

What is the softest 1-1 or 1-2 NLHE game I can find?

If you don't mind ultra loose play and the possibility of having to rebuy in I would go to empire for the 1/2 (always a game on), especially in the evenings. If you want a soft but nitty table try the Fox 1/1.

Closest fixed limit game to London is probably in Paris, we don't play it over here

Today at the Vic, a few people who are willing to play anyone try and get the 2/5 and/or 5/10 going. I'm not someone who plays anyone, but I am willing to start games and keep them running. One of the whales turns up to the 2/5 and it becomes the 5/10. As soon as whale is sat down the call is out to the bumhunters, the same 5 or 6 as usual show up ASAP and get on the list. No seats are appearing so they convince the whale to start a 10/25 which is filled instantly (then once they have him there, they don't even try and keep him sweet, they're just sat there with headphones on). Fine it, happens, boo hoo. Right? This particular whale might not give a **** but some whales do, having these 5 or 6 people follow them around, legging it desperately between the Vic and the Palm Beach, just isn't fun for the whales. It's basically the exact same situation as you have online now, only it just seems even more pathetic.

That's ridiculous, someone should convince staff at the vic/palm to do something about it (especially as it
can lose them rake), not sure what could be done though. Perhaps sites/rooms could creatively ban this as a form of collusion? It isn't far off IMO

I guess it depends how much those 5-6 people play normally. The casino could simply ban them. Or threaten to ban them and find out who's putting the call out and ban that guy. Or fire them as it's often the staff.

What do u think about games during Olympics? I think Empire because of its location should attract most tourists.

Empire update: no different to any normal night (yet). That means there's still some awful players. Just saw one guy call off £110 with middle pair, weak kicker on a wet board.

How is anyone shocked that casino staff are calling players when action is possible, especially from a whale. I'd say every card room has players who like a call when value walks in, and they tip very well for the heads up. Casino employees got to eat too..

The ethics of the employees is one thing, I was more sighing at how pathetic those regs are. They're worse than the auto-sitout ipoker regbots. But that's how it is.

Speaking of Vic staff, before leaving a friend and I stopped at the bar to have a drink. There's about 2k in chips in a rack in front of us. The barman comes up to us and says "Not very busy today, but it's really nice outside. Me, I'd never be in here on a day like this if I could be in the park. Never. But hey, everyone has their vices right? For some people it's drugs or women, for others gambling. Good luck guys."

In other news I've been running flat for a good two months now. One nice big win session followed by 4 small loss sessions. Lather, rinse, repeat.
