anyone know where i can find a good 2-5 except the vic? i like to play deep and because now the 5-10 runs very often at the vic i find the 2-5 a lot shorter and also run 2-3 hours stops and then run again later. if you dont think i can find anywhere else 2-5 should i try my luck a at 5-10 ( although i am not very comfortable buying for 2k) and assume its not going to be a big difference than the 2-5 used to be 4-5 months ago ( everyone sitting with 1k+ stack)

i am at hippodrome now there are 5 people on the list for 1-2. the poker room looks really nice and the dealers are friendly but i think they are all still on training. the only problem i have noticed is that the poker room is too remote from the gaming floor and the poker tables are too short in relation to the chairs and its going to be a problem for tall people

Varies on a night to night/ week to week basis. If there is a big festival somewhere, then their tournament numbers drop dramatically. I would love to give you a ball park figure, but in the 7 months I have dealt there I have seen 30 players turn up for a comp one week, and the next week the same one doesn't even run. If you avoid weeks where there are festivals in Ireland, Vic, EPT etc. should be around 2-3 tables. Also the standard, bar the grinders is shockingly bad for the stakes. Tournaments will usually finish at about 2-3am

A very deep 5/10, with people buying in for anything between 1500-5000 (regularly). There are ALOT of regs, ranging from megaNIT oldboy Greeks and Turks, sharky old skool gamblers, quite a few laggy live/online pros (enough of them for the game to be absolutely terrible/ very very tough at times), but there is also hella lot of value from stinking rich Arabs (mostly, especially in our Summer just before Ramadan), drunk city boys and general fish. I have often seen games late at night descend into 4-5 pros/competent recreational players waiting to be paid by pissed rich guy who has already donated anywhere between 10-30k to the table over the course of the evening. From what some of the balla's have told me, it is one of (albeit slightly unconsistently) the best 5-10 games in the world. Apparently Sharm el Sheikh has some redic 5/5 and 25/50 USD games too

There is also a regular 10/25 (almost every night) with the same player pool, and about once a month a big game is organised, usually 1-200 ROE, with stacks anywhere between 40-150k

Hey guys,
thinking about going to the vic next weekend, havnt been there in years and ive just got a quick question.
What is the traffic like in the 1-1 game, say I turned up friday night would I safely be able to assume a table will be running until atleast 5/6am saturday morning, or does this limit even run atall at weekends?
Only reason I ask is because trains to home stop running between about 2330 and 0530

There will be 1-1 games (and much more besides) running from 2330 til 0530 on weekends. Games run literally all day and night on the weekends

no trackies, they had 4 1/2's going last night, average stack about 200. Will take a couple of months to build to a similar level to the Empire.

Juice is 5% capped at 10

Currently no Jackpot/Progressive £1 being taken (although that will change I'm sure)

50 quid spot prizes for Quads as well....not sure whether non- pocket pair quads qualify, or if it has to go to showdown.....but again I doubt that will last long without a jackpot £1 drop.

they have a badbeat jackpot it start at £5k but the £1 is taken from the rake which is the first time a casino actually gives something back as a jackpot for poker instead of the players paying for it

I wouldn't call it tiny, but it is "up in the gods", in the upper circle of the theatre....it is also right next to the outdoor smoking deck and bar, which has slots outside too, I suppose that helps with getting bums on seats
