One of my friends (who's a supervisor in another area) told me that she was fired for "not doing her job" and "never being here". I don't know how true that is.

I imagine most people would take more money but it does not address the issue of needing someone to manage the room who knows poker and cares about the room.

Does the Horseshoe allow free parking with validation at any lots other than their garage on event nights when the garage is full? I was thinking of driving up tonight and am sure the garage will be full with the Cavs playing.

I think it's just their lot, but there might be an exception if that lot is full.

Around the casino is fine. It is right in the middle of downtown. I would stay there way before University Circle.

How is the action these days?
Is it difficult to get 2/5 games running on a weekday?

There is usually at least one 2/5 game going every evening. You can always see what is running at www.bravopokerlive.com

Wondering, what is it about this room that makes me want to blow my brains out almost every time i am there? My results are actually pretty decent and don't really have any complaints about the games, but i just feel like there is never any excitement in that room and it is a real bummer. All i hear is people complaining about management, how bad they are running, to every other world problem. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like the life gets sucked out of them as soon as they walk in that room? I guess put on a pair of beats and forget about everyone, all i can think of.

That's how a lot of poker rooms are. It's seemingly part of the culture, like it's "cool" to "grind" it out and profit. And then there's just losing players who are miserable because they lose all the time.

It's totally laughable and pathetic, but it's certainly not limited to this room.

I don't know if it's ever to cool to just grind out a small profit. But winning is more fun than losing for the most part. Sometimes a little gamble is fun. But personally would prefer more gamble in the games.

Biggest problems are lack of big games, old dark building, bad prior management.

Not much they can do to solve those problems.

Nope. The lot they used to validate across the street is now cash only, but usually only $5. If you're going downtown on a game or concert night, either leave really early or consider taking the Rapid.

If those are my only two choices, then downtown. During the day you'll be fine as long as you stay within a few blocks of the casino. At night, I'd be a bit more cautious and probably avoid walking around Tower City.

Word around is that one of the long time dealers was handcuffed and gooned mid-hand from the poker room the other day. No one will say anything and there's nothing in the news or on the OCCC website about it either. Anyone have details?

I was at the table nearby. This definitely happened. There was like 5 detectives, most of them not in uniform. It was over in a flash.

This poker room is nowhere near as bad as some people make it sound. I actually like it here but I wouldn't travel from to far to come here nothing special either.
Also any good poker coaches based out of this casino? (Any game cash or mtt)

Its been my experience that every table in the room, and every table in every tournament has at least one coach on it.

The quality of the coaching is an exercise left for the reader....

My experience though is that the best coaches are the ones that say the least about poker at the poker table and have the most chips...

Lmao I couldn't agree more I have never seen more "coaching" at the table than here but that's not what I was looking for
I haven't been playing as much as I used to so it'd be good to have someone with good poker knowledge to go over some things (not while at the table)

Is it allowed for someone to PM me which dealer this was? If so, can someone please PM me.

So the post a few up. I'll be in Cleveland in a few weeks staying at the Hyatt Regency at the Arcade. Should I be nervous walking the five minutes it takes to get there from the casino late at night?
