I just started playing here recently. Friday and Saturday nights... so far so good. Just wanted to get a thread going devoted to this card room. This thread is NOT for people to flame the e-tables. I've been playing the 1/2 No limit. Are any other nights good to play besides the weekend?

I made my first trip to Live yesterday evening. The wife and kids were out of town so I thought Live might be a good way to kill an eveing. It is only about a 25 minute drive from my house so that was nice.

I have to say I wasn't expecting much after making four or five trips to the French Lick Springs Casino. I was however plesantly surprised with the layout and general ambiance of the whole facility.

I have never played on the e-tables but found the staff to be very helpful in signing up for a players card, geting it loaded with my buy-in and adding my name to the wait list.

I was seated at a 1/2 NL game after about 15-20 minutes and after getting logged in soon found myself playing the game I love. It took an orbit or two to get used to the interface but I did catch on pretty quick. Only one real blunder of the night apparently when dragging my hand across the screen to confirm my fold i inadvertantly hit the all in button and didn't realize it until after I had confirmed. Luckily i wasn't called by any of the remaining players so no harm no foul. I did make sure to pay more attention the rest of the night.

All in all it was a successful night, i bought in for $200 and cashed out $466. The play was average, i found out quickly that an agressive style was not going to work very well. There was a lot of chasing going on regardless of the bet size so i tightened up and pushed when i had the cards and folded when i didn't.

I will be sure to go back and play more on the e-tables. They are not near as bad as i had expected.

I played there today. 55 in the tourney. Decent play at my table but I was out early with a few bad beats. Jumped to the 1/2 nl tables and played 6 hours. Had a blast and did very well. No one was awful but some were a bit loose and I stacked up a few times.

Tourney was 50+10 for a $5k stack and 20 min blinds. With the etables that works really well since we averaged just over 40 hands/hour. Tourney lasted 4 hours. One odd thing, no tourney status board anywhere and when you go out you're not told where you finished. I went out early enough (somewhere in the 30s) that I didn't even bother asking how you could find out. Seems like with e-tables a really nice status board would be found somewhere.

In general though I"m a fan of the etables. Easy to use, lots of hands/hour. As a plus I never had a bad dealer which is odd for Indiana!

I'll be back.

I am in Indy for the holidays. Went to Ind Live. Was actually pretty nice. I usually play at Winstar in OK.

The electronic tables were pretty interesting. Very intuitive. The only thing I miss about the dealer is someone controlling the table. There was a little more table talk than I was comfortable with, not enough to call the floor. Not really enough to be a big issue at all. But it would not have been going on with a dealer.

My suggestion for the Poker Tech tables. HEM functionality. Charge a $1-2/hour fee for running VPIP/PFR, etc stats.

They already have a rabbit cam for people willing to pay .50 a chase.

I played at Live in Shelbyville recently. When playing on the electronic tables they took my ID when I created an account for the table, when I deposited, and when I withdrew.

I am not sure I am comfortable with my gambling being tracked this closely. Any idea what they are doing with that info? She seemed to be typing a novel while looking at my DL when waiting to cash out.

Is this typical of Indiana casinos? Typical of the electronic tables?

I've played there a handful of times.....going to try to go more often, but I'm also saving some roll for the tournies coming up at the Horseshoe in Chicago and the WPT in Lawrenceburg. This is just closest to me and yes, the games are definitely soft....some of the worst players I've ever seen there (the ones that think their good, but really aren't and they're not only not good, they are downright awful).

I haven't been since early '09, would probably drive the extra hour and a half from Indy to Horseshoe Southern, BUT if interest in a PLO game ever gets started I'd gladly make a return visit.

I wouldn't say I'm there a LOT, but I guess often enough. The games and the tourneys are still really juicy. Lots of regulars. Most of them I want at my table and a couple I intentionally avoid. with some of the regs you can tell they are more there for social time than for playing great cards. Normally enough tables running and so few good players that getting to the optimal table (they're really good about doing table and seat changes for you) is just a matter of waiting a few minutes. Weekends, as you might suspect, are the best time.

Had a really good weekend there 2 weeks ago. Made 1,500. in 2 nights. Went back Saturday night for 200. more.

I really like the the e-tables. So many hands per hr. and mostly soft play. I'll be there tonight to play all night.

i was there this saturday night for about 4 hours. I had really low expectations for the e-tables but they weren't bad at all. I miss not having cards and chips, but you don't have to tip a dealer and I'm arithmetically challenged (read: ******ed) so the running pot count is a useful shortcut for me. There were only 3 tables running when I got there at like 5 in the afternoon, 1/2NL, 3/6FL and a SNG. Halloween probably had an impact on that, some of the regulars mentioned it was abnormally empty for a saturday. The room started filling up by the time I left though. I was really card dead most of the night but the game was good, had like 3 100bb stacks and 3 or 4 people with like 300bb each, and there was a lot of straddling and wild action going on. I'll probably go back every now and then, the horseshoe is too far of a drive for me

I have tried several times to get a 1/2 PLO game going but can't seem to get anyone to sign up. Anyone interested in designating a day/time to kick one off? Given the speed of the tables, I think it will be successful if we can just get some momentum.

Anyone interested?

I'm looking to dive back into poker after a year off and Indiana Live is about 45 minutes for me, so I'm wandering how the games are going there now? I don't really have a BR to speak of yet, just hoping to cobble one together over the summer. Any 2+2'ers become regs or frequent players there? Any updates welcome and appreciated.
