Pretty amazing that GVC is going to have a wsop stop but was once the biggest stop is dead in the water. Soto reminds me of Joe Biden.Run things right into the ground but always blame other people

It is not that they are not making money. They are number two Indiana casino money maker.
Their dilemma appears to be "Horseshoe" brand which is indicative of "highest limits" and
"WSOP" is not ideal MARKETING tool for Hammond location.
"Horseshoe" brand did not prevent it from being knocked out as number one Indiana casino.
Poker is not only aspect of that casino to suffer. Losses are across the board.
Every shuttle bus to that casino is NO MORE.
That place lost all the big baccarat action players to Hard Rock Casino, Gary Indiana.

This is literally the reason I stopped going. Doesn't matter how nice the room is if I, a car-free Chicago resident, can't get there.

You'll also notice that it's scheduled at the Grand Victoria twice. There must be some big bosses who really don't know what's going on at their locations .. or they think that everything will be magically fixed by then. Or course the circuit typically has their own Dealers, but can you imagine showing up for a 'series' and being told that the cash games don't run every day of the week? GL

I suspect that cash games will run every day when the series are on (at least I hope ffs), but there's also seemingly a separate room being built/prepared at GVC (there are signs everywhere for "WSOP ROOM" so I assume so).

I assume they're pushing it so hard in Chicagoland (2 at Elgin, 1 at the Shoe) because of Rivers' opening just dominating them right now.

Rivers could've taken over BMO-Harris just for poker and just left the ice intact to save on air conditioning .. GL

When the circuit has come through Hammond in the past, some of the traveling dealers also dealt cash games.

For anyone who got busted out there in the home games the last few days it was Soto who pointed igc in that direction. He wanted to get rid of any competition to get the players back to the shoe

Several of the people arrested regular players will know. The gaming commission just don’t go raiding houses unless someone pointed there

Interesting that there's an underground club that close to the casino, must really not like playing at the casino as zero chance there's lower rake there. Prob higher stakes too I guess.

Insider told me.Could be a insider at Horseshoe or Hammond police either way I believe them.Makes the most sense to me to since igc just don’t randomly find out about poker games and horseshoe lost a lot of business to rivers and wants to be open on the weekends again so best to wipe out any competition you can. It was in the horseshoes backyard also being Hammond and Griffith
