Will they be doing seat giveaways for the WSOPc this year in cash games?

I'm considering taking some time off of work and going up here to play in the upcoming WSOP circuit series. I might stay nearly the entire time (2/20 - 3/2) given that the tournaments look like a good value throughout. I'm not at all familiar with this area - any tips on a relatively affordable place to stay for that long? I've never taken any kind of poker trip like this (either length of stay or distance from home), but right now I can afford it and want to just take a fair number of shots in some large-field tournaments.

Most places running $500K and $1MILLION dollars WSOP circuit and you are headed to $250K Hammond Horseshoe. Must not like to shop.

There are numerous reasons I want to go up to Hammond. Proximity to home, timing around my work schedule, cost to stay (already found a good airbnb), and the buy-ins relative to guarantees. I don't play poker for a living and this series seems like a good opportunity to gamble. You're wrong about the guarantees too. Here are some of the schedule highlights:

1. $400 500k gtd, 5 flights
2. $250 250k gtd, 6 flights with multi bag bonus
3. $1,700 Main $1m gtd, 2 flights

There are also numerous other side events - I checked out the prize pools from the last time this series ran and it looked promising. I did look at some of the other WSOP circuit stops and this looked like the best fit for me.

Yes, you will find plenty of action in Hammond, both in the tournaments and in cash. Most of the posted 'mins' are blown away at all the WSOPc (and HPT, MSPT) sites along I-94. Make sure you play Event #1, it usually has great value and is a great way to springboard your way through the series if you cash well.

You may see a stark difference in Dealers between cash and tournament since WSOPc normally brings in their own and some of the cash Dealers can be pretty weak. GL

What are you talking about? The last stop in October 2019 Main Event was $272,332 for the first place only. I'm sure the pass 1 Mil guarantee prize pool.

If we are talking about WSOP Circuit stops Hammond is one of the best in term of prize pool and action.

The area around casino is not great , heavy industrial , but you can find many good hotels around , do a search on this thread you will find a lot of info.

Also downtown Chicago is a great options it is about 30 min drive ,probably you can find a reasonable Airbnb , but if you want to take a day off from poker you can enjoy a great city.

Free shuttles to the casino all day from Chinatown also. Pick up near the north exit from the Chinatown red line stop (north side of the street, :15 past the hour every hour). Leaves the casino :35 past the hour, every hour (odd hours from 1:35am to 7:35am).

This is JANUARY 2020: Similar type of (PAST) event results you reference DO NOT OCCUR at Horseshoe Hammond Indiana until February 20, 2020 WSOP "CIRCUIT".

My problem is I don't use Facebook, so I don't have access to various tournament names and schemes used to lure poker players into joints. Mistake I made in post was using "Circuit" rather than "WSOP Warmup" (a type of mini series). It's over, completed. I mistakenly referred to "Warmup" as "Circuit''. Excluding the "name of event" error, I stand by what I wrote.

The person you responded to unmistakenly referred to the circuit as "circuit". Also explicitly referred to the dates 2/20 to 3/2.

Does it seem as if the cash games there are going as strong as ever? Going up there today instead of Elgin. Hoping for more people in the room.

(just drive 95th street east from the hotel to Ewing ave to Indianopolis ave to the casino. you'll be driving through Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park, and the South Side of Chicago before you reach Hammond, I drive this route every time I go to Horseshoe, it's sketchy but safe.)

I noticed they are spreading 1/3 NL now. With that occuring, have they increased the max buy in on 2/5 from $500?
