wow could you guys talk about casino food more please?

some people are actually interested in how the games are progressing there, and how the quality of the staff and room itself is standing up over time.

or you know you could talk some more about nachos

Once you visit your second casino in your young lifetime, you might realize that food is one of the more important aspects in the gaming world. When the food is good, it draws people back to that particular casino to enjoy it, and they lose money while they're there(and by the way, all the "nicer" casinos realize this).

Then these people then tell their friends about the good food, and when their friends feel like losing money, they figure that they might as well go where they can enjoy good food while doing so too, and guess where that might be. Then these friends tell other friends, and...need I go further? Even house-game players go where they get fed the best.

Food is a "draw," much like white tigers, and chinese acrobats. You get the people in the door, they will lose some money. No one knew this better than Benny Binion, and now we have the Shoe, with his pictures plastered all over the place, while at the same time having dog-pound food outlets named after him (Benny's, and JB's, for those who didn't realize). If rolling over in one's grave is truly possible, Benny must be dizzy by now.

You got poker questions? Ask them, instead of posting as to why we're talking about whatever it is that we're talking about. There's plenty of poker questions here and they always get answered. In the meantime, remember to floss, and wash behind your ears.

Dealer racks, they have so little chips compared to other casinos. In horseshoe, you sell $200 chips and need a fill again. In AC, their racks have Blacks/ Greens / Reds. Just like a normal 1/2 game. No bs gold chips. They can sell 1000's before getting a fill. So much more efficient than horseshoe where they need a fill after selling 1 rebuy. I still wonder why they use gold chips... no other casino uses it, vegas, ac... foxwoods.
still unanswered. no point of 2 columns of gold chips for 200 bucks as they never get anywhere near empty

I never got on this site to bicker or argue about the Horseshoe and popcorn and cake, but enough is enough. Just about every time I’ve had something worthwhile and constructive to say, there have been smart aleck comments after me and I let it go. I thank coconuts for recognizing these smart alecks.
.
The hot dog carts were only a suggestion and I addressed that to Jeremy where I thanked him for the answer that he’s looking for some alternatives and that’s fine.

This has become like a grammar school of kids arguing and I admit I got carried away with it too, after I was told by Cosines11 to stop putting in the smileys and he suggested stupid things like cracker jack and cotton candy. But just like a school kid I answered him. Sometimes we are so caught up in who's right and who's wrong that we forget what's right and wrong. Although, I must admit I've thought about Soft Pretzels! LOL:

I like the Horseshoe’s poker room or I wouldn’t be posting anything about it at all. Regardless of what anyone else thinks about what I have to say, most of the criticisms are true and many successful businesses became successful because they listened to their customers.

Jeremy obviously reads all the suggestions and cannot do everything requested and I’m sure posters on this thread understand that. You (Jeremy) are the most visible person for that poker room and have chosen to represent that room on line, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who wonders why we hardly ever see the Manager of the poker room JASON.

People are expressing opinions -- they aren't right or wrong. Similarly, your multiple criticisms of the Horseshoe are your opinions, they are not "true". People who disagree with you are expressing their opinions, they are not "smart alecks."

For those who like the buffet, try eating there during the lunch hours. The food is approximately the same and it costs half as much.

I agree that hot dog carts are stupid. I don't mind the sandwich shop except it's overpriced even for casino food. One thing you guys might like is that coffee/pastry shop between the boats at Majestic.

I've already got infraction points up the wazoo, how much could a few more hurt? By the way, and I'm being serious here: Could someone give me a good definition of "trolling." I assume it means baiting someone for an argument, or something like that, but I'm really not sure. Anyone?

I had heard that approval was needed from the Gaming Board to allow it to run.

pretty certain casino makes more from raking cash games than tourney fees.
tourney wins generally bring deader $ into bigger cash games too? i could be wrong.

NO. We can run any limit of a game that is appproved. We just don't want to run a mixed game that only has two games where one of the games is already being played on 10 other tables. If both games were pot limit I don't have a problem with that.

When tournaments run they will be during the day when tables are available and it is slower. When tournament players show up and they bust out it makes the cash games that much better!

There are no SNGs. There were two girls in an all-out brawl in the high limit section last night. Anyone know the story behind it? Did they get permanently banned?

i can tell you that i have been to horseshoe twice to play cash. The one week they had tourneys i went multiple times, and I can assure you that I would be there at least once a week if they ever actually launched tournaments, and I play cash almost every time after i bust out of a tourney. I would have to think there are many players like this. LOL @ "just flipping coins"

also, Raise It, i hope you guys do some nightly slow weekday tourneys. Having them during the day sucks for us working folks
