One thing to consider is that the rationale for getting rid of the diamond perk is really a poor argument. The only reason there are so many diamond card holders in the first place is because the property drastically lowered the tier point requirements to achieve diamond. The tier points reset every January 1, but the property only opened during late August. So they basically decided that instead of needing to earn 15,000 tier credits to achieve diamond, you only have to earn 4,000 (or something close to that). That ended up being pretty easy to achieve, for poker and for slots/tables, so a large number of people ended up getting the status. My understanding is that after this calendar year, there won't be as many people achieving the higher status due to the program reverting to normal requirements.

Hopefully in light of this they won't be removing the diamond benefit of priority seating. I've only seen maybe a total of 2 players in the poker room who have seven stars cards. They're usually too busy gambling on the floor to be playing poker.

the e-Craps machine is up and running.

if all 6 seats are filled at the machine, you can play it (and e-Roulette) at the bar.

curiously, there's also e-Bacarat offered only at the e-Craps machine.
the bar only has e-Craps and e-Roulette.

The e-Roulete machine is on the 1st floor.

i've never seen the e-Bacarat machine at the Shoe.
Where is it located?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a proponent of such perks. What I'm not a proponent of is too many people being able to get it. It should be a small minority who do.

I had a Diamond card for several years, and jumping poker lines was never a perk until very recently. I will earn Diamond again in a few weeks, but I'm not upset they are doing away with this.

The problem at Horseshoe is that it will be very easy there to make Diamond there from poker... on top of awarding a lot more tier credits for poker than any other CET property, everyone will be getting a 50% tier credit bonus at the end of March. So by April, just about every regular poker player in the room will be Diamond. And you don't want every regular to jump ahead...this would be very frustrating and offputting to occassional players.

Lg,

I'm pretty sure you still need 15,000 tier credits to get diamond. At least that's what it took me starting in January and on myTR's website it has my progression from 15,000 to the different diamond levels and 7 star. Maybe 4,000 tier credits is for platinum?

Villian you're not factoring in all of the bonus tier credits you get. You only have to actually earn 5000 and the bonuses will bring you to 15k.

That's true. The biggest bonus I got was 1000 tier credits (i forgot about those) but yeah you're right if you do diamond in a day you only need 5000 in a day.

Additionally, with the 50% tier credit bonus being awarded april 15th that will bump a ton of people into diamond. I'm diamond and have never utilized the line jump but I play at odd hours.

Even during busy hours I'm ok with no line jump for diamonds. I'd rather have rec players feel more welcome and seated timely than a bunch of regs coming in and making the recs wait/ go play roulette or whatever.

I've been diamond for many, many years. While I've known about the line jump, I've never used the perk. Even on a Friday or Saturday night, the wait has never been more than 10 minutes or so. I can chill out for 10 minutes . . .

I am curious, however, what will happen next year, given the 50% bonus match. Often times, even now, at least in AC, the lines at the cage for "Diamond" are longer than the regular lines. I suspect there will certainly be more members next year.

I will say this, though - on those rare weekends when I still make the drive to AC, the check-in at Harrah's on the Diamond/Seven Star line is a pleasure, particularly after a 5 hour drive in traffic on a Friday . . .

Here. You have until 3/31 to earn the tier credits and the bonus tier credits will be added to your account April 15th.

crazy hand today. I get in all in 3 ways with KK pre flop. About $650 in the pot One guy has q10 off suit and the other has AA. Flop comes something like K32. Im stoked. Turn comes A. My hopes are crushed. River comes A. I am once again pumped because I hit mini bad beat of K's full losing. Fun time.

The e-craps machine was back up and running when I was there last weekend.
But it's still wasn't crediting tier credits correctly. The number of tier credits it actually awarded was far lower than the number that appeared on "session tier credits" (which was 1TC/$20 coin-in).

I complained to several people who worked at the casino about this on two separate occassions, as well as the gaming commission (who just gave me a complaint form to fill out), but it does not seem like they have taken me seriously at all. Hasn't anyone else noticed this?

Even if it's an astronomical $10/down, that's better than them taking reduced pot rake and taking at least $60 off the table per down.
Minimum of 20 hands per half hour live? At Horseshoe Baltimore no less? I wish

This was specifically with regards to heads up limit poker. Even slow dealers can get out 20 hands of that.

You might want to post this in the Other Gambling Games forum. B&M is a poker forum.

Waited 45 minutes in line for players card. Remarkable since the staff is so <cough> attentive, fleet and efficient. Got to table short-stacked. Was KO'd in less time than I was en queue. You wonder why MD Live is eating Horseshoes's lunch. 60 warriors for tourney on a Thu night. Live gets 200.

You can get a card in the poker room with little waiting, a fact they are reluctant to divulge. 'Shoe, you are dead to me.

What do you mean "they are reluctant to divulge"? What did they say when you asked them? Last time I misplaced my TR card, I walked up to the poker room desk and they happily made me a new one within two minutes.

This seemed like the right place since there has been a lot of discussion of this particular machine in this thread. (And the thread gets almost as much traffic, all of it specific to Horseshoe Baltimore, as the entire OGG forum.)

Alright, now I'm pretty po'd at whoever has been complaining about paying time in the pink chip game. They switched it now to their lovely $6.00 rake to accommodate these mathematically challenged citizens.

If we're going to be charged this nasty rake we should get the same deal the 2-5 players get 5% capped at six rather than 10%. Did our special friends think to get that when complaining? No.

I'm assuming the 1/3 nl rake is also 5% up to $6?
if so, isn't this slightly better than 1/2 nl at Live?
