*Never seen this but have heard multiple stories of people just pissing in cups and leaving them under the poker table instead of going to the bathroom

*Violent players at poker tables

Most of the time it's fine and i've never had a problem. The casino itself is horrible though and needs drastic improvement. You are better off going to Live or MGM. It does however have some of the best 1/3 games i've ever played in. And some really good 2/5 and 5/T if you play that high and are lucky enough to get them running. But if you suck out on one of the players prepare to get berated if the guy is a dick.
Ah, Baltimore! <3

Same. I take the stairs up and down to level 3 (from 4 or 5) and have never had an issue. As noted, it's fairly well lit and spacious. Always people going in and out, so it's unlikely it wouldn't be seen somehow. There's also security who will escort anyone to their vehicle. Just have to ask at the stand.

A lot of those bad examples aren't exclusive to Horseshoe. Happens everywhere. The bathroom is like 10 feet from the poker room, so I have trouble believing the worst one there. Wouldn't be surprised if it happened once, but hardly a common occurrence.

The place as a whole does need help, but I think the poker room is fairly good.

After 9 months in a row of daily high hands promotions, it sounds like October will switch away.
Haven't heard official details, but sounds like some mix of WSOP tourney entry or half cash value. Expecting that this will significantly thin the field of players on the daily.
(Though with WSOP in town, maybe that's the idea...)

Sounds like August was historically bad for the casino (even if the poker room seemed okay) and maybe September isn't much better.

Played here for the first time last night. I like this casino- it has a cool retro vibe, so much better than the over the top sensory overload of Hollywood and MD Live. Staff was friendly. I didn’t eat, but other people spoke positively of the food options. They even masked the idiot music of the slots somehow.

Dealers were uniformly fast and competent. Everyone at my table was polite.

I left at nine, and there seemed to be a lot of drunks already. Not sure what 1am looks like.

Is it worth trying to play here next weekend when the WSOP’s going on? I’d rather not have to wait very long to get a seat.

It’s pretty hit or miss. I’m gonna check bravo to see what’s going on. Sometimes it depends on what’s going on at other Maryland casinos.

Large ($10) chilli from Ben's Chilli Bowl on 1st floor (replaced chicken and waffles)

not bad.
but if i had to pay for it with cash (instead of comps), Wendy's large chilli is a better bang for the buck

I didn’t say there was... I linked to an article where the GM explicitly states they will “delay reintroducing poker”

The delay isn't about lost revenue it's about implementing poker safely (or at least as safely as they can).

Agreed... they can do the same as Live & what MGM will do. Plexiglass & masks. Not terribly hard. Poker brings people who gamble on other games & I’m one of them

So, with Maryland Live having poker for the past 3 weeks or so and MGM reopening poker again yesterday, is there any word of when Horseshoe is reopening their poker room?

Like, ever? Rumor, or do you have information?

Shame, it was a nice room if true.
