I have management's word that they are willing to run a whatever limit HOSE game if we have the people who are interested. I posted that several weeks ago and no one seemed all that interested in trying to get a game going like that.

It would be great if we could coordinate a time. What days and times are best for those LHE players?

I might be able to do an occasional weeknight, but for the most part I'm only good for weekends.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as far as availability. Could do one night during week, but could do either Sat or Sun. Have to figure there would be a better chance in rounding up some other LHE players on weekends anyway. Would love to be able to get this started.

I think it would be best to try and get like 6 or 7 people together and let management know that we would be coming in a certain day, like Saturday night or Sunday afternoon. Then if it goes well, we could try and make a couple time a month thing or something. Personally I would love to get like a HOSE game going like that as those are games I would really like to work on, and it's a great break from NLHE. At first even if we could just get a 5-10 or 10-20 LHE game going that would be a nice step in the right direction.

Post when you think you'll be heading down and I will try to get down there and see of we could get a game going.

Was out tonight and got the paper listing all the new/current tournies. The info posted b4 was accurate. Sundays have an 11am "deepstack" tourny. Its 160+30+10. The 10 bucks goes to the dealers and gets your 4k more in chips. The total number of chips you'll have is 10k if you pay the 10 bucks, which i cant imagine anyone not paying 10 bucks to almost double your stack at the beg of a tourny...

They also have a bounty tourny at night on sundays. I believe the paper said 75+15+10+25...So 75 is the buy in, 15 to the house, 10 to the dealers, and 25 for the bounties. The 25 is mandatory. That starts at 7.

I would think that this will draw some interest for a little while but die after 3 months ore so. They NEED to do a 10k or 15k guarantee tourny once a month for like 100 or 200 bucks and that will draw a TON of players for that specific day. They should also maybe try a 30k $500 buy in maybe around the holidays or something.

Anyways, there is another tourny on Saturday, i forget the info on it though. Will update when i find that paper.

FYI - Another classic hollywood floor move. The dealer at my table found there was a dent or some kind of imperfection with one of the cards, it was the 4d. No big deal, they called the floor over and he brought over 2 new decks immediately. It was midnight and a few people were stuck and irritated and told the floor they didnt want a deck change, to just let us play a little while with one. The floor said 'no, were changing the deck.' (which they have a right too). 3 players, out of 9 told them 'if you change the deck now, were leaving." They went ahead and changed them and 3 players got up and left...Haha, ****ing standard hollywood story....

Coudn't they just have replaced the 4?

A couple hours after that a fight almost broke out. A very drunk player, while turning over his cards, had one of them fall to the floor. The other player involved in the hand told him it was now a dead hand. Drunk player who had been beligerent the whole night, told the guy FU and STFU before I smash my beer bottle on your head. Other player said go ahead, so drunk player walked over and proceeded to pour what was left of his beer onto the floor and literally chased the other player around a table 2 or 3 times as people screamed for security.

Security eventually got there, state police were called, and both were kicked out.

Hahahahaha... Awesome story...I do believe that qualifies as a dead hand but as always, its the floor persons ruling...I'm surprised the guy getting chased around the table was kicked out as well?? I guess he didn't have to say "go ahead" to the drunks guys threat but still kinda odd.

We were all saying the same thing. All the guy did was tell the drunk guy that his hand was dead. I think the beer that he poured out onto the rug was dry before security finally got there. And by security, I mean a 65 year old, 150 lb man.

A quick and dissappointing update to the Sunday poker tournaments at Hollywood:

The deepstack 11am only garnered 40 entries
The 7pm bounty tourney only pulled in 28

Was looking for a little better turnout than that.

Ha, this story is actually a lot funnier. I called my brother today and asked how his sesh went last night and he was like "its a long story."

I asked what happened and he started the story with "well i got in a hand with a drunk guy who dropped one of his cards on the floor" and i started laughing and waited for it and it turns out he was the guy who was chased around the table by the drunko and then kicked out of the casino..Haha, small world...

Sucks for the tourny turnout. They did very VERY little and horrible promotion for it. And as i said before they NEEEEEED a 10k guarantee ONCE a month. There arent hundreds of people waiting around every sunday to drop 200 bucks and go about there business after they lose it. Once a month is what they need to do. So the people who lose a ton wont feel as bad about it and they dont get cleaned out after 3-4 weeks of those 200 dollar tournies and then steaming off another buy in at the cash game tables after they donate their tourny money and get shelved cuz they are bust....

I wasn't drunk nor chasing ppl around the room with a beer bottle but...I did manage to have Elliot kicked me out for arguing with him as to what the purpose of a Must Move Table is. He didn't believe me that the mere purpose of it is to feed the main game and keep it full.

I feel your pain. I've never seen a card room run must moves the way they do.

I'm sure they are doing it that way to try and maximize revenue. But it's annoying to me and so sometimes I will stay in the 1/2 game rather than join 2/5.

OTOH, I never thought I would see a poker room in Harrisburg.

Yea, that's def the reason. He was adament/confident that he knew more about poker than I did. He even told me so. Guy shouldn't be floor ever in the poker room. It amazes me how different the (floor ppl) attitudes are depending on the shift.

This is gonna sound really rude but I gotta ask because I'm not sure which one Elliot is so here goes:

Is he the one that looks like he has a unicorn style horn growing out of his forehead?

hahahahahhahahah...I dont know if thats him but i have had a number of problems with him myself. He def seems to enjoy to let people know he is "in charge" whenever he has the opportunity.

His unicorn horn is probably why he acts the way he does though...

The fact that i just said unicorn horn is way to much, but that **** is funny...He is def a huge part of the problem we all have with the floor people...

Bingo! That's the guy!

Do you think he would (snap) throw me out if next time I came in I gave him a printout that defined what a must move table was?

I mean I told the guy I didn't create the term, but I thought he should at least know what the purpose of it was.
