Anyone know about how many runners this green chip bounty has been getting? Considering a warm up before Borgota.

The May Columbus HPO schedule (https://www.hollywoodcolumbus.com/Ca...20Poker%20Open) is pretty underwhelming. The original schedule, iirc, included a HORSE event as well as some other non-standard events but has apparently been replaced by an ultra-conservative, ultra-boring schedule that I doubt will bring many players in from out of town. A shame given I've noticed they've pumped a lot of $ into advertising this series. Truth be told, given this room's history so far they probably have good reason not to be ambitious (sad but true), but after the huge turnout in December for the "Ohio Poker Championship" I had hoped they'd strive for more.

Yea, about as bland of a series as you can get. Not much variety. That being said?? I'll be there.

Yep, as almost all tournaments are these days. Pathetic.

Has there been any word from management about why they modified the original schedule ? And why they killed the seniors event ?

Ugh, this is the worst re: schedule. I was super excited about the HORSE, even got a day off work for it. Now? I'm not even going to bother showing up for the cash games.

Can't believe the posted a series and then changed it within two weeks. Pathetic we can't get a nice series of poker tournaments in that room. Shark tank has the best series around. A good mix and well ran. Horse is part of their next series

You guys are a little ridiculous and cannot be pleased. Pretty much the only game played at this casino is nl so obviously they would be hesitant to do other events. New management might actually be making wise decisions by changing it. They have had massive dealer shortage and they don't have infinite tables. Yes it would be nice to have a big series but I'd rather have one run well and smaller than it being run bad

To be fair, plzd0nate, obviously HORSE is a somewhat niche game and expecting it would be unreasonable (I believe there are four tournament series that always include it: WSOP, DSE, LAPT, and Golden Nugget's The Grand).

I'd say the discontent here is that it was offered and there is clearly demand (the game runs regularly enough in town) and now it's gone. I think management made a smart choice in originally running it as a noon tournament with a second event in the evening so it wouldn't cut into the 7 pm tournament. If it hadn't shown up in the original schedule I don't think there would be any grumbling now.

As far as "cannot be pleased", I think that's unreasonable. Certainly there's a lot of upset folks in this thread in the past, but I haven't been one of them, and generally I like the place and support the staff.

I'm sure Shark Tank has a better structure, but there is no way they get even close to the number of entrants Hollywood will get.

As far as HORSE....I can see why Hollywood took the tournament off the schedule. Be honest, there just isn't that many people who play it, definitely not at competitive level. There might be a few people who like to play, but I don't see amatuers coming out and playing in a HORSE tourny at Hollywood, especially if it is $200+ buy in. THEY are better off adding another NL or Bounty tourny in that spot. Would be a much bigger turnout.

What are shark tank levels I thought they were like 20 and 30 min levels. The main of hpo is 60 min levels. The wsop circuit doesn't even have 60 min levels. Stop complaining

Horse tourneys on the circuit get around 100 to 150 players. I think a little variety would be nice. No complaints other than Hollywood could offer a little more for its players other than nl. FYI... Management has never made a smart choice. Played there hundreds of hours, and has consistently made poor choices and alienated its player base. Also, room is never full, and not having adequate dealers isn't a good excuse.

If you check the Hollywood series events at other locations around the country you'll find that the schedule posted in cbus was the same schedule of events as the other location.

It wouldn't surprise me if the cbus dealers weren't able to deal anything as complicated as O8. Or stud 8.

I'd like to hear an official answer rather than speculation, but whatever. The seniors event and the bounty events were Hold'em and those got canceled as well. Sounds like a complete lack of faith in their ability to do anything but boil water or serve the poker equivalent of vanilla ice cream.

The Hollywood Opens at Grantville and Charlestown and Tunica were handled by a tournament company, Bill Bruce and crew, google his name lots of info. Very professional dealers and floor. I would guess Columbus will be the same.

I was planning to come out and play the Seniors event, but the new schedule doesn't show a seniors. Not sure i make the drive without it.

I'm going to start playing 2/5 NL throughout the week. Lots of rich doctors and lawyers and the loose trust fund "professionals" spewing money left and right.

Visited Columbus for the day today, seems like the poker community is still healthy. Several good 1/2 games and an excellent 2/5 game which got off at noon, and even a 10/25 nl heads up match between 2 super live whales. What's the beef, Cbus?

Kind of miss OH, not like Tampa's action is dramatically better, just more options as far as places to play. Hmmmm.....maybe moving home?

What the hell is wrong with this place? 21 people on the waiting list and some " manager" seemingly satisfied announces no dealers are on the way in. I'm on insta tilt just imagining playing in Columbus these days. Anyone have a hot sister (or mother) I can shack up with near the Natti? Quality room.
