I was there a month ago for a 3 night midweek getaway. It was super cheap. Five of us got 3 rooms in a package that included transfers and air from Florida for a total of ~$190. The place was a ghost town. Most of the casino was roped off vacant, only 2 restaurants opened per day, the poker room had at most 5 tables going.
We ended up walking over to Borgata for the buffet and poker. For the price, the 10 min walk was well worth it.
I think Caesar's is trying to see how many times they can go bankrupt. El Dorado bought Harrah's / Caesars in 2020 and said they needed to find $500M in cost savings, and that plan had been created prior to Covid. I'll bet they are still crying.
