Yea, same. High hands end at midnight unless the last one does not hit and then it stays on board until it eventually hits or the room closes for the night...

Does anyone know why the CHEAPEST room at Harrah's is $950 this Saturday night (2/18/23) ?
The same room is $99 for Friday night!

Presidents’ Day weekend is a huge gambling weekend in ac traditionally. That’s all I can think of.

The cheapest room at Harrah's this coming Friday night is.... $950! ($999 for non-members)
I don't understand....

When all they have left is suites, it can show some crazy prices.

This weekend is also a huge 5x tier point promo, so rooms are all booked up. (not sure if it applies to poker)

After a long absence, I stayed at Harrah's this weekend and I'm pretty underwhelmed.
First of all, their weekend room rates are high. Not as high as Borgata, but at least Borgata delivers a decent experience.

If anyone is interested, I could over the details but in summary... they have not been maintaining it well, the customer service is weak to non-existent (mostly a bunch of 20 year old kids), random stuff is broken, random stuff is dirty, erroneous charges appear on your bill, housekeeping is spotty, the buffet is replaced by a soulless burger joint, and they just don't seem to care.

And why would they? People seem to just keep coming...

I'm counting the days until poker is offered in NYC and AC faces plummeting revenue.

I was there a month ago for a 3 night midweek getaway. It was super cheap. Five of us got 3 rooms in a package that included transfers and air from Florida for a total of ~$190. The place was a ghost town. Most of the casino was roped off vacant, only 2 restaurants opened per day, the poker room had at most 5 tables going.

We ended up walking over to Borgata for the buffet and poker. For the price, the 10 min walk was well worth it.

I think Caesar's is trying to see how many times they can go bankrupt. El Dorado bought Harrah's / Caesars in 2020 and said they needed to find $500M in cost savings, and that plan had been created prior to Covid. I'll bet they are still crying.

AC in general is pretty quiet during the week (although it does pick up during the summer).....

Is Borgata the only place in AC having regular tournaments? I don't see any for Harrahs or Tropicana. Used to be lots of tournaments at different places every day.

North east poker is dead for unknown reason.

Borgata’s tournaments are nowhere close to the glory days of pre Covid era!!

I only see Philadelphia Live Casino & River casino Philadelphia is attempting
200K guaranteed multi flight/multi day tournaments. Don’t know how big turn out they are getting. (Being from Central Jersey, I am closer to Philadelphia then AC )

Correct. Borgata only.

Borgata only has small-ish tournaments during the week!
AND.... no BIG tournaments like they used to have pre-pandemic.
Just crazy expensive weekend rooms, pathetic comps for poker players, and poor service.

They clearly don't care!

Wife and I visited Atl City last week for the first time in a long while. We were planning on going to Harrahs until we got to the sign in front : Valet Parking - $25

GTFO

We continued on to Borgata where my parking was comped.

Other casinos charge for parking too but not as much as Harrahs. Ocean charged $10 for valet. Not sure what other casinos charge.

You cannot park in Self-Park (it is free with Platinum or Above or with some minimum play anywhere on property)?

Unless you have a disability or hard time walking, I view Valet as a disservice (risk that something gets stolen out of the car or damage to the vehicle).

We left Harrah's this morning. We didn't valet because we were coming from OBX and had a bunch of stuff in the car.

I am diamond, but there was no one at the booths this morning, so it would have been free for everyone. Obviously this won't always be the case (it's also happened at Philly Live!... in case you want to chance free parking).

In general. It’s a weekly game and a super soft one at that.

That's great, love to see it.

Yeah, I find 10/20 LHE around town to be very soft too. Definitely noticably easier than 20/40

It’s cool what they are doing with the featured limit games during the week, including 20-40 stud, pink and high low. If I was local I’d definitely support it and it makes me kind of want to take a weekday trip to play at harahh’s. Could see a weds to Friday trip at some point.
