Planning on playing a decent amount over the next four days, most likely at 1/2 but might take shots at 2/5. Big guy, blue windbreaker, old-man wrap-around sunglasses. Come buy me a water.

yeah, who likes playing with a table full of bad players

You know what he means. Tighter players are a different kind of bad. Imagine you're playing rock, paper, scissors, and chainsaw. The rules are chainsaws trump everything (paging Allen Kessler) and all other rules are the same. Passive players, aggro monkeys, and fancy play syndrome clowns are represented by these groups and if you're a chainsaw you can beat all rocks, papers, and scissors by having half a brain. I doubt this made any sense but it sounded good in my head

1/2 nl is pretty much 9 papers while 2/5 is like 5 papers, 2 rocks, and 2 scissors

From your description Dozer, I played at your table last Friday night or Saturday afternoon, don't remember which day. You were in seat 9 I believe. Played from 6-10:30 tonight and saw you when I was on my way to the cage. Next time I'll introduce myself. Good Luck this weekend.

To the isle regs/frequent plyrs:

I'm planning a trip for the first time to visit the isle poker room.

I'm looking to play 5-10 NL holdem (sometimes 10/20 nl)
Does the 5/10 NL run regularly? How would you describe the games? (soft etc? )

Can you recommend what is the best (closest + safest + value) hotel to stay near your casino ?

ty

Are you the mechanic with the shaved head?

Played with Teddy Goodbear last night. He sends his regards. Also, Teddy reminded me that yesterday was the one year anniversary of the new poker laws in FL.

The Florida State Poker Championship is running July 7 - Aug 2. There is a link here (http://pompano-park.isleofcapricasin...urnaments.aspx) for a special poker rate at the nearby Hampton Inn -

Hampton Inn FSPC Rate

$65 per night (does not include tax)
Continental breakfast included in rate
Smoking rooms available

However, I don't know anything about the quality of the hotel or rooms.

The 5/10 games run all the time. There are some very competent players who are regulars at those games.

Where has Teddy been? I have been playing in the 10/20 O8 game on Thursdays and haven't seen him for 2 months.....

I think another room allows the Omaha h/l game to win the holdem high hands as long as the hand is flopped. 4 cards+ 3 flop cards is only slightly better odds than 2 cards + 5 board cards. Any opinions on this?

Just got home from an afternoon session, was crazy. Got there at 12:45 and I was #37 on the 1/2 NL list. All games had wait lists. Started to thin out a little at 4:30.

Yes - think $2/min. Sometimes they run specials.

I am... how about anyone else?

Maybe we should try to start a 1-2 PLO game and then morph it into an alternating fun-fest,

pick a day and we can probably get it going atleast once a week and make it a regular weekly game. Starting tomorrow, lets say Wednesdays at noon to start?
