My buddy is over their now. It's true... The rumor is the BBJ drop will go up to $2 , but they will guarantee $500k.

Rake %10 of pot to $3 and BBJ of $2 for a total of $5 removed for pots of $30 dollars or more?? How big does the pot need to be to take the $2 for BBJ?

This makes the cost of poker about equal to Parx and Delaware Park. What it really does is heat up the BBJ crowd.

i have heard this could last anywhere from a week to the winter. everyone expects fewer players in the coming months. honestly, i don't remember it slowing down that much last winter, but perhaps i just don't remember it well.

as a $1/$2 player, there are always enough games going.

Played with $3 rake last night. Great deal. BBJ drop is still $1. Dealers had not heard anything about the BBJ drop moving to $2.

This $3 rake and $1 or $2 for the BBJ is great for players. It just keeps more money in the poker players hands regardless. It's just better all around. Even though hitting the BBJ is so incredibly rare

Played today and yesterday, $3 rake is indeed true. They even had 2/5 PLO running last night into this morning, the game finally broke around NOON today, always a good game though!

Has anyone come across the older Russian guy who screams "ship it" when he wins pots, so annoying

Ive known the guy for years. I use to play with him at Borgata, hes a very good player and will destroy most of the games at Harrahs. Harrahs is a collection of the softest players ive seen in along time. A bunch of scared money roaming around that place. That Russian will destroy in there.

Interesting, so he's made his way to Harrah's Chester... I've seen him go on mad tilt and hemorrhage (sp?) some serious money (a dealer once told me he blew through 10 large in about an hr- no joke). On the flip side, every time I saw him at Borgata, he had mountains of money in front of him.

is there a live game report or a # to call to get the poker room and see what games are going?

How's the 3+1 rake going? bringing in any traffic?

They ever get any mid limit hold'em off the ground these days?

We need to talk to the poker room manager about the BBJ. I know there are better ways to spread the money around the room . The free rolls which are funded by the bbj are just ******ed and not exciting. Why cant they take 25k per month freeroll that, take another 15-20k per month and put 10 players in WSOP circut main event, take another 50k per month and send 4-5 players to the WSOP main event as Harrahs Chester pros.I mean im not the biggest fan of the bbj but i realize its here to stay in one form or another. Why not
take 100k per month and spread the money around the room. I just feel that there is no creativity on how to use this money other then a lottery ticket. It would be nice if 50-60 regs were going to Vegas next year as Harrahs Chester pros to play the main event. It would be smart if 150 players were already registered to the HArrahs Chester main event in the spring before it begun. These are just a couple of ideas that one player has ,im sure i could put 10 guys together to meet with the head of the room to discuss if we can get something better in place .

The 3 + 1 was gone as of yesterday at 11:00 am. It brought some great action. I hope they run it again soon. It filled more tables.

You know how they paid for that...with the BBJ.

Assuming what you say is true, it is the most effective use of the BBJ for me. I don't every expect to get any value out of it otherwise.

These wonderful and logical ideas are all all void due to the fact that the VP of Marketing and Promotions didn't come up with them himself. Please move to the back of the line.

Hey Harrahs poker donks

Just writing to see if any full time players would like to exchange contact info to maybe talk about hands and just the live scene in general.

I like a few others only started playing live a few months ago and I am trying my hardest to learn what I can and soak up all the knowledge I can.

Would love to get in touch with some local players who treat live cash games as serious as I do, and really want to keep improving.

PM me, would be awesome to hear from people who might be interested.

Travis

Hello, all. I was predominantly an on-line player. Up until recently, I played live very sparingly.

However, I have been playing at Harrah's Chester since the summer and really like it there for the most part. It is a convenient location. The dealers are pretty friendly and the view of the river from the sports bar is very nice.

Also, I really like that playing playing in Chester earns comps for AC and Vegas. The wife and I like to exploit any free travel deals that we can and it's a benefit that I was never really aware of from playing online.

Don't know about a PLO8 game but there is usually a 5-10 LO8 w/ full kill going on Sat Evenings and Sundays. I find most prefer straight Omaha at pot limit and O8 at limit
