I Agree I thought the waitlist would be long, I got there at 8:30 and was 5 people on the list I went to my car to get my harrah's card and my name was already called and had to get back on the wish list. I am heading down saturday afternoon.

Two things, talked to dealer Scott told him alot of people have said the place needs to wash the chips, he said he would talk to management and see if something will happen about it. And second there is a new rule during busy hours, you will have your chips bagged up after 10 minutes away from the table and will have to get back on the waiting list when you return from what you are doing.

i have found $1/$2 NL to be surprisingly easier as the night rolls along on Sundays.

love playing from about 10 or 11 until 3 a.m. on sundays.

the third man walking rule at harrah's has been in effect for a couple of months or so. i have never seen it used. usually, everyone knows not to leave. unless they have to run to take a piss, then they might miss one hand.

The BBJ makes 1/2 much more tougher than it should be. Way more players per flop and therefore you actually need to hit hands. It's amazing how a BBJ , that the odds of hitting are super rare, can attract so many players.

Thinking of playing the knockout tonight. Anyone know the numbers they've been getting for this on Thursdays?

Well Harrah's has certainly gone down the tubes in the last 6 months or so. Arrived at the tourney desk at 6:40 last night to play the 6:30 and was told to take an alternate number from the front desk, no problem. I'm number 15 and they're opening a new table as we speak so no big deal, right? We'll 20 minutes goes by before they call our numbers(so we can all then wait inline at the cage) and in the mean time there's clearly been 7 open seats in the field and an entire table that's been ready to go for 10 minutes. I will never be able to figure out how Harrah's can have 12 floor people and no one can take care of the tournament. The majority of the alternates didn't sit until the end of the second round and we all easily could've been seated 20-25 minutes earlier if someone would've taken the time to get the tourney off properly.

Parx was expecting 150 players for their first ever Tuesday night tourney and got 253. Guess what, everyone sat before the first round ended and it ran quite smoothly. Harrah's got maybe 60 people last night, took 50 minutes to get everyone in and couldn't even keep the blinds straight.

As bad as that was, the 1/2 game was even worse. The chips and table were flat out disgusting. Don't even get me started with the paying $5 for a beer.

It's Parx or Borgata for me from here on out.

I actually thought of this on Tuesday. I had a decent stack with 18 left, but I was too tired and just started shoving. Went out 12th. Would've been cool to predict my own 5th place finish.

I do see a lot of the floor people just shooting the $h|T when I am there so I cannot doubt when you say they run the tourneys inefficiently. The chips there are nasty for sure - even worse than Parx - unfortunately, that is where Parx is headed chip wise if they don't start cleaning them soon.

I was there for the first Sat tourney at Parx and there were no issues in getting everyone seated. Some got in line too late and missed the start but I would say that was there fault for waiting so long

It's weird that with all the tourneys the Chester runs that they do not have it down by now. Perhaps a lack of caring is the issue...

I'm wondering what goes on at Harrah's that the chips are as dirty as people say they are. I would imagine that most PA casinos would have the same wear and tear on the chips from casino to casino. I play at the Sands and really don't see any super grimey chips as I would see at an Atlantic City casino. Maybe they are washed at the Sands but I can't confirm that.

As far as this 10 minute rule....to me it seems a little harsh. Not that I'm away from the table for more then 5 minutes at a time but 10 minutes seems a little quick to pull the trigger to me.

The 10-minute rule is to prevent too much half-rake time.

DIRTY CHIPS. I was there wednesday night and picked up a stack of 10 chips by grabbing ONLY ONE CHIP. Not an exaggeration. I propose a contest:

How many chips can you pick up at once by only pinching one chip? Post pics. Top 5 get mailed to management

I think the action was pretty good at my tables friday night. Not sure about the 2-5 tables. I am about to head down shortly.

The chips can not be washed this is why they are so dirty.

Sunday's action was blah. Went down got seated at a table with a chick that had 800 in her stack when I sat down and by the time the table broke she blasted through the 800 and rebought for 200. I was so card dead it was pretty sad. Ended up down 114 in 5 hours, ended up playing the 6:30 tourney had 90 people, I finished 31 with the standard AJ vs 22's never improved and was busted.
