That makes more sense. Not saying I disagree with your premise because I wish alcohol were free everywhere (bars too), but there's just no way to change a policy like that without much more organization than "I, one player, will go only half of the times that I normally would."

DC/NoVA players are running into a similar thing @ Charles Town, the new room in WV that is about 1.5 hrs from downtown DC. It's a terribly-run room, but it has a captive audience, so there's no need for it to change. In fact, from a purely bottom line perspective, it'd be silly to do so. I still go there anyway because the action is incredible.

How many 2/5 NL tables are going on weeknights and weekends, can anyone give a generalized figure? For days I'm pressed for time and can't commit to driving to the Borg, I might go back there. Don't want to go there if it's going to be one or two 2/5's with a stale list of 4 people on it, where I could be waiting awhile though.

best way to get there is to take 95N to ridley park exit, 8 i believe. once u get off take stewart av to 291, which is industrial hwy. make a right, go down couple miles, youll see harrahs signs on the left.best place, and the only place to park would be the garage, which is unlike their brother in AC, free. park on the 2nd level, thats where the poker room is. good luck

I'm pretty sure the max buy-in for the 1/2/4 is $400. The max for 1/2 is $300.

actually the fastest way is to go through chester and get off a few exits before the ridley exit. but that requires having the balls to drive through chester. which, if you live in baltimore, shouldn't be a problem.

The website lists the tournament schedule but doesn't say anything about if they got approved or tournaments are a go.

That's the annoying thing about having corporate culture running a poker room. I can guarantee your there's some unimaginative corporate dweeb out there thinking he's doing a good job by spreading "word of mouth". Advertising weekly structures and buy-ins while forcing people to speculate on when they're going to start. Nice to see places like Parx have moved past these methods and decided that actually caring about what their customers want is the best way to gain marketshare.

That being said, I'm fairly excited for them to start.

I was there monday, it was the first time playing at chester, and from talking with a few of the regulars they said that the room took a huge hit in games when other rooms around opened, that it was only busy because the bad beat was up high.

Have to say I liked the room, the action was nice dealers were friendly and ran the games nicely and fast, but my biggest problem was I ordered a sandwich it took a 1 1/2 till I got it.

2 Q's. Is the bad beat still goin? When do tourneys start? If Harrah's want's to get up on PARX they need to have 2 tourneys every single day. If that happens I'll be there once or twice a week. But I'm sure PARX will have 2 tourneys a day when they get goin too.

I'm really looking forward to tournaments at both PA casinos near me. I just don't have time to grind it out at the tables with the family and job. But a tourney is a fixed amount of money and time.

I have a decent job, finally pushed over 6 figures last year. But I wish I had more time to play poker.

that is all

I'm pretty sure that the answer is "no," although you should to read the game rules at the casino. Having said that, and assuming is Harrahs Chester is using similar rules to the ones used by Harrahs for its AC casinos BBJ (which I have read), you must use both your hole cards to make quads or better.

Thus, in the example given, the AK player is using both hole cards to make his best hand. However, he is only using the King to make quads, and that would not qualify the hand for the BBJ under the rules that I read in AC.

Again, Chester could be different, and so it's best if you read the rules at the podium to makes sure one way or the other.
