IMO, if the specific rule isnt posted in the room somewhere talk to someone in management about getting it posted. Tell them what you just said above.

If possible, it should be one level above floor -- but thats not always possible.

I heard secondhand that tournaments are starting on Monday? Can anyone confirm? Website doesnt have a start date, only a weekly schedule of their daily tournaments

U can sit at 2/5 with 100 and get free booze not that I recommend it but if u sit with like 2 or 3 hundred and play tight this is probably ur best option

If they do start Monday then Chester has to have the worst marketing dept ever.

Could be a soft opening for training. Standard.

Parx has more 2/5 and 5/10 by a fair margin. 5/10 is going almost every night at Parx often with a must move second table on busier nights and weekends. 10/25 has started about six or seven times since November also and has never started at Parx as far as I know.

With that said, I'm pretty sure Chester 2/5 is at least a tad bit softer than Parx 2/5.

10/25 definitely runs at Parx, it seemed regular as of late before the snow.

I made my first trip to Harrah's Chester yesterday (afternoon into evening) due to getting the day off from work and the room being a whole 25 minutes from home. And I was pretty impressed. Room was decently sized, I didn't really see the table spacing issues that others were complaining about. The floor/dealers/cashier in general were all in a good upbeat mood. I played for 5 hours and I have a single one of those "miserable dealers" that you typically get every few downs in AC. Also, there were a fair amount of games going on, especially for a Thursday. Was definitely busier than all of Harrahs AC rooms. And free parking for everyone. Thumbs up as well. And apparently you get a free buffet if you play 4+ hrs of 1/2 or 2+ hrs of 2/5. I didn't take them up on the offer but another player told me that deal was good every day? Very nice as well. 2 minor complaints though.... my tier credits/reward credits haven't shown up yet, not sure how long it typically takes there though.... and
WHY ISN'T ALCOHOL FREE?? $3+$1 for a bud... $4+$1 for a yuengling??? I didn't even ask how much mixed drinks were...
Still even with that, they have definitely won me over. Half the drive time, more games, happier staff. I only wish I would have checked them out earlier...

I hadn't been to the room for a couple months after playing alot of hours there July through October. The room expansion definitely helped with table spacing and the replacement of the cupholderless tables with ones with cup holders are a welcome addition.

I agree the dealers are generally pretty friendly. Paying for beers at 1/2 does suck. Ask the waitress if there are beer specials... Usually it's a $3 bottle but the other day (Wed?) it was $2 pints of Yuengling which wasn't so bad. I keep forgetting to take advantage of the Buffet.

Points usually show up a day or two later depending on when you clocked out.

I was told yesterday that they are still waiting on approval from PA gaming commision and that as soon as approved (imminent) tourney's will begin.

April is the schedule for a WSOP circuit event.

Last night, they were spreading a new game: 1-2-4 NL. It was a 3-blind NL game, with a $400 max buy-in. FWIW, the table qualified for free drinks.

Anyone play in it? It sounded like a good action game.

I saw a tourney schedule up on the Harrahs site. Have they started yet? Looks like some decent buy ins with a few 175$'s thrown in.

that is all
