I went once. Needed to bust out the headphones when some indian guy kept giving virtual BJs to the dude next to me for taking down 30 dollar pots.

It's pretty nice. THey are supposed to be serving beer sometime in the near future too. Last time I was there they had 1/2 PLO and HE and a 3/6 limit game going and had a list for stud. I've been 2 outed twice while playing there in +$200 pots. THey need to fix that.

The PLO game was a bit of a fluke. The list was started on Friday night, didn't run, and the floor failed to note that most of the players had left. It wasn't removed. So Saturday enough of those players had actually come back to get the game started when some others got on the list simply because it was shorter than the NL list. It replaced the 2-5 which usually runs on Saturdays.

Not likely to happen often unless some of the regulars repeat that trick. The table consisted of a mix of good and clueless players. Some of the NL tables were much softer.

PLO as a constant would be great, however its not worth a 2.5 hour drive from ATL to find out.

The Sit n Go's are still running on Tues. They extended them so they now run from 9 am Tues. until 5 am on Wed. They also changed the prize structure to 60%, 25%, 15%.

Maybe we could get a regular weekend PLO game going.

O8 would be fine with me too. A little change from Holdem

free coffee and all the air you can breathe... Harrah's has TERRIBLE food, bad location (driving up and down those hills), and there is almost no chance in getting a room there unless you do something other than play poker. The only upside is that the 1/2 games are ultra ultra weak. When the 2/5 gets together it is very weak compared to online, but I have never even heard of games getting together over that. When I asked around about getting a 5/10 game together I get almost no interest at all every time I go.

Headphones aren't the issue, its electronic devices. I am pretty sure they will never allow them. Its a casino wide rule.

Beer and wine are being sold in the restaurants and cafes in the hotel, as well in the diamond lounge. They are not allowed on the floor.

Comps started on 10/2. The rate is 700 credits/hr ($.70), and they are applied the following day.

This.

And I was up there the other weekend. Super soft game NLHE tables. There were only 2 or 3 competent players at my table the entire night. If it were closer than 2 hours away I'd be heading up there more often.

Either night is good. If you decide to go Saturday, I suggest getting there by 3:00 or 4:00, to keep from having a long wait.
This past Fri. and Sat. night it was really crowded. At midnight Sat., there were 37 players on the wait list for 1/2. The list actually cleared quickly after that. Most of the players had given up and left.
Sometimes on Saturdays they spread 2/5 on one table. It usually don't get enough interest any other day.
Post a trip report or tell us what you think.
Good luck!!!!

I'm planning to make the drive up there tomorrow (friday) and play into the saturday morning. If I leave Atlanta at 3PM friday will I beat the wait list assuming I'm signed in by 6PM? If not when would I have to make it there by to beat the list?

They had a list for 1/2 Pot limit Hi/low split, but never got enough interest to start a game.
I remember reading on here that they got enough interest and spread the game a few weekends ago.

You shouldn't have a problem. I would be more worried about having to wait if it were Sat. at 6PM.
I plan on going back maybe Sun. or Mon.

Thanks, I'm heading up there in a little over an hour. Should be a good trip, hopefully with plenty of fish swimming around.

I don't remember seeing anybody in a gamecock jersey however I'm sure I would have stacked him/her anyways.

Overall the trip went well, although the room was a little slower than I had expected. I played just above 300 hands of 1/2 and managed to be dealt Aces three times and Kings three times for a $700+ session.

Also the floor mentioned that it is in the plans to give tier credits for poker in the future. That was the first I had heard of that in Cherokee, anyone else know anymore about that?
