I actually see a smattering of free rooms online for some weekdays into March. Not sure if that is me being comped or what. When the room opens up again I would love to take a trip if I am still on their list for weekday rooms.

16 Tables opening @ Foxwoods should help cut the wait times @ Mohegan during the busy times as many of the players currently playing there will migrate to Foxwoods on March 4th.

It looks like they might be adding free rooms to accounts on a rolling basis now, instead of adding the entire month at once.

Yesterday, a wednesday (last time i checked a weekday) I waited 2 hours for my 2-5nl seat
And 5 hours for my 2-5plo seat

... ya if you get there by 10am maybe 1030 there wont be a wait. But once all the games are filled mohegan has waits.

Please bring back foxwoods poker soon.. theres a reason i drive past mohegan to the further casino

They used to put the free rooms into your account for a particular month all at one. Now they seem to be making them available one day at a time as the day gets closer.

Well that’s stupid! Not that what they do makes sense. But how is a person supposed to plan a trip in advance without knowing what they can get.

My free rooms were showing up for all of March and I booked a bunch but now they’re gone. Not sure if I hit a cap or something.

They don't show up for March under the "Hotel Offers" tab like they used to. Now they only appear when looking at the flexible dates calender.

Under the new system, you can only have a maximum of 5 reservations at free/discounted rate. Once you have 5, every date will show the leisure rate. And you no longer get "monthly" room offers. The only way you can tell what you get comped is by looking at the calendar. But whatever you currently get for comp rooms can be applied as far out as the calendar goes... for example, if you get Friday comped right now, you can book a Friday in August comped today. That's not a useful feature if you visit frequently though, since that far out date will tie up 1 of your 5 outstanding reservations. I don't know yet how often the new system updates your rating (how often your room offers might change).

I was just able to book a 3 night comp stay! Sweet.

Interestingly, I tried to book a 4 night stay, but didn't have the 4th night comped, they were quoting me at the price of the 4th night for all 4 days so the 3 nights weren't comped. Just something to be aware of if booking a combo of comped/non-comped rooms.

Is there any official information outside of what's posted on this forum regarding March 4 reopening? Checked on their website and Bravo and no mention of poker reopening.

For the way I do things the new system sucks!!! One mans trash is another mans treasure I guess.

I used to book all my comp rooms (Fri + Sat) two months in advance... I would reserve every Friday n Saturday and if I didn't go on any particular weekend I'd just cancel them... In the end I'd usually go 30-40 weekends per year... This strategy is now obsolete now with this new system.

The worst part for me with the new system is the comp rooms have dried up (not sure if anyone else sees this)... I used to get free Friday and Saturdays and now I get zero Saturdays and just a smattering of Fridays!!! Granted I haven't been as much with the pandemic and all but I'm shocked they are pulling the rug out from underneath with the comped rooms. Don't they know people just don't go as much with the 'Rona?

Meanwhile Mohegan comps me free any day of the week (3 nights per week max) so that's where I'll be giving my action (been there for 2 of the last 4 weekends as well as this weekend upcoming) The funny thing is that someone I brought with me last week dusted off $5k and I lit $3k on fire... that's $8k that Foxwoods would've gotten if they weren't so cheap with the rooms all of a sudden... Just a room not a fancy suite, I just need a place to sleep!!!

Seems to me that Foxwoods in recent years has gotten penny wise and pound foolish... never ceases to amaze me how little they use common sense there. And lets not even talk about how the lounge food has degenerated into low grade dog food over the years and is barely edible!!!
