So I guess I knew enough of the current regs there that people would ask for loans more often...

Worked in the poker room at the Woods for years. The state police walk around in sports coats (occasionaly an actual suit), no ties. The door on the cage wall in the corner next to fifth street is the back hallway that leads to the state police mini-baracks (if you can call it that - office with a couple holding cells - both casinos have one).

Honestly, you laugh. But I would say there are a good 30-50+ 2/4 players that must play 50+ hours a week, that I see in my visits to Foxwoods.

As far as the $8/hour goes... Lets figure something out, if you sit at a table and are dealt an average of 38 hands/hour. At an average rake of $3.50+BBJ+tip, you're looking at $5.50 coming out of each pot. 38 hands an hour X $5.50 = $209 coming off the table an hour. ASSUMING you are at a full table, and this is divided 10 ways, you are paying $20/hour to play.

Long posting made short, are there ANY players that can win $28/hour playing 2/4? before rake

Don't lend money in a poker room, unless you are dang sure about it....

I 'lent' India Jones 15$ once because he asked. He lost like a rack everytime he played Hold'em with us so I figured it was a good loss leader.

Spoiler:
He avoided my table for 2 years because he thought I would actually ask for it back. I cost our game $10,015.

i saw this happen at foxwoods one friday night. kid sat down at the table with sunglasses and claimed it was his first time at the casino. however, the way he was betting and how he was betting, i figured he was either a complete donk or a internet wiz kid. anyways he was winning a few pots without showdown and it soon became apparent he was horrible.

when he was running hot he said "i'm never leaving the poker table, i love this". four hours later and a few trips to the atm his q9 ran into AA (aipf) and he got up dejected and offered his watch to the table and the tables around. it made my night.

Long time listener, first time caller. A group of coworkers and I are going down in a couple of Mondays to play the 9 am tourney and play 1-2 for the day. The 45+15 now has a $20 add on/re buy according to the website. Does anyone know how much (if any) of this $20 goes into the prize pool?

Thanks.

Hey got a quick question for everyone regarding the Megastacks. I'm gonna be able to plkay the $340 event, anyone have any idea how hard it might be to get a room that night (Tuesday) on short notice?

if i'm out i don't want to be spending the night and if i'm don't feel like driving back up to boston and hten back the next day. any thoughts on good places to look into that might be vacant, or do people think because of megastacks most places are gonna be filled?

First call Foxwoods. Then try Bellisimo Grande or Hilltop.

anyone see the shenanigans going on at our 2/5 table between 12am and 3 am with the very large guy at our table. what went on at our table wasnt poker for sure it was more like a frenzy.

this guy must of had some crazy good luck vodoo charm on him or something. says he learned from watching on t.v late night. no idea how to play, he'll call with any ace and always hit.

anyways within an our he was up about 2 grand. lost it all in abouta half hour. then slowly the vacuum came back on sucking in all of our money . i saw him with pocket aces four times in an hour. and no lie spiked his ace every single time. i saw him call and all in preflop for 500$ against aa. no matter what we played against him or how u did it he drew out.

made me want to rub his stomache or something. im talking calling 100$ preflop with j5 and hitting j55. it was nuts. one guy there even said hes been there since they opened and has never seen anything like this.

needless to say he walked out with about 3500. just sick alltogether sick

If he was running that hot you should have got him going on Roulette or Craps.

How many people are we expecting for the $340 Megastack on Tuesday? I'm thinking about going.

shorty, there will be between 600-800, possibly more. there was 1043 in the summer for the same event, this time of year though less..but still a good turnout

i hate the table near the door that is on a tilt. it hard to see the cards from some seats. i went on tilt in less than an hour my last visit. the roads sucked man you are nuts for driving, I almost wiped out twice during the day. I just went to the store to get an aagc and did a small deposit on cake because reefer wouldn't accept the code i got from grasscity. it was like 50% to see the flop on reefer. kind of funny when on cake there was this player next to me w the name wetandjuicy. lol how much did you buy in for?

always buy in for max at 1/2 or 2/5. I'm more comfortable playing deep, and I like to have any and all fish covered.
