MJ88, I agree with alot of what you said. I guess personally I like being able to buyin at 2-2 for $500 as opposed to buying in for $300 at 1-2. But looking back I think you make alot of great points. There were at least two players trying to buyin who walked away when told the minimum buyin was $200. So as far as building and growing PLO at Foxwoods this actually hurts it where as if 1-2 was running that might maybe two new players try out and find they enjoy the game.

I ask because I have ~$200 worth of Titanic chips at home.... I figured I'd see how much I could get for them on ebay but I've been too lazy and now I'm thinking I should just head down and cash them in.
They usually post signs at the entrances of their casinos with a warning date of when they retire them.

Anyone know if there are signs that'll direct me to the Rainmaker Garage and/or surface parking J lot? With the way my gps gives directions, it directs me to that long driveway in front of the Grand Pequot hotel tower.

If your going to j lot just pass the rainmaker entrance and take your next right. That leads right to j lot

Crap, forgot to recheck the thread. I'm home now
I played on Monday and Thursday this week. Both days my BSP was doubled what it said on the FW website. This happen to anyone else?

My points were double the usual amount however it had that double amount listed for today (i.e. I wasn't surprised when I visited the kiosk).

Do you poker-only players tend to use your bonus slot plays when you visit? I think I read you get better offers if you don't use any of that stuff? But then again, it's also kinda free money right?

Well, using the BSP has a negative effect on your rating. Not claiming it won't increase your offers, but claiming it could decrease future offers if your rating gets bumped down 1 or more rungs as a result. But yes, it's essentially free money. If you're not going to take it, what are you holding out for?

Ok thanks. Last time I went to play 2/5 nl (after an 8yr hiatus from Foxwoods), I made the mistake of parking in the Grand Pequot underground lot. I don't mind a little exercise but geez the poker room's far. Not to mention being confused with the layout of the numerous casinos.

What are the chances of a 1-2 or 2-2 plo game getting started tonight?

for years i never touched a slot machine so never bothered with the BSP........I also lived closer to the Casino, so didn't need the hotel offers. then this winter, after moving further away, i took advantage of the BSP & hotel every week for six weeks (2x per week)......now no longer get them offered.....or anything else for that matter....even took basic points offer away.

offers are to get you in the door, to see how you play.....but once they discover your truly poker only.....you wont get much....if anything

Soooooo......Mohegan Sun now reports results of the $10k GTD's and The Sunday $30kGTD to HendonMob/GPI. Results are awarded points under the typical GPI system/formula.

It's part of GPI's new "recurring tournaments" feature.

Seems like GPI is willing to track the data of weekly events, as long as the venue is willing to provide the data. Seems they have a list of Foxwoods daily/weekly events entered into their system, but are not yet tracking results.

Wonder if this is something soon to come at Foxwoods ?

I certainly hope not. Internet can go **** itself as far as tracking my personal data. It's nobody's business.

I agree. Thats one of the two reasons I wish they did not require a rewards card to enter tournaments. 1)Tracking 2)It appears tournaments tend to hurt your player ratings.

That's another problem with the Rewards system. Pretty much the only thing that seems clear about it is the more points you earn in a day the better offers you tend to receive. So many times I have opted to go play at Mohegan when I know i can only play <5 hours that day. So Foxwoods has lost quite a bit of action from me because I want to keep getting rooms.

I don't know about the rewards program, but as far as tracking your tourney results, you must volunteer the info and sign something after your cash, as your getting your voucher to go see the cage, otherwise your results dont get tracked, so its entirely optional. Essentially, you have to opt in.

You need a rewards card to play the tourney, so you have no choice but to be tracked.

Rewards tracks that you played, not where you finished.

Oh hell yes. I won $250 on Friday off a $30 bonus slot play.

BTW, where are people getting this information that you get better offers if you don't use the BSP? Is this just conjecture?

I can only speak for myself.

If you use offers, like BSP (without dropping your own cash in the slots as well) ,and even hotel rooms, and only play Poker.....you better play a BOAT LOAD of hours at the Cash Tables if you hope to keep getting offers.

If you grind tourneys......forget about it.....you will lose your offers. If you play a couple hrs per day at Cash, and then a tourney, forget about it......you will lose offers.

This has been my personal experience.

view: i wish dealers would insta-lobby certain habitual walkers after they play their two hands for the hour and then get up. double-so for certain habitual short-stacking walkers. triple-so if there's a list.

Is it possible to get a Rewards card under a fake name, and then you use that one for tournament entry and your real card for everything else?

Or is a license required to get a Rewards card at FW?
