Also got some pro to laydown bottom set early in the mega when I had kj on kj5 in a 3 way pot to stay alive. He didnt think I was bad enough to jam two pair in that spot. Little did he know...
ronnie came over to our table to ask us about the 55 fold, we told him it was pretty bad

I'll do that thanks. I never heard of that site before.
Is there much of a difference between Boston, Providence and Hartford? I can get very cheap to comped rooms through a buddy that lives out there now so I got the rooms thing covered, so unless someplace offers cheaper deals with rooms covered I only need a flight.

Not sure about Hartford, but through my experience, flying out of Boston is cheaper than flying out of Providence. Compare Hartford and Boston flights and make a decision from there.

I think it depends on if you get room offers out there or not. It may be more cost effective to go with a package deal if you don't have offers.

Either way when you get out there. Always get a players card wherever you are staying/gambling at and get rated for your play. One little known fact too is based on what kind of play you did at a property you can get reimbursed for an already paid hotel room. The comps and stuff used to be better in the past but it still doesn't hurt to check it out at the end of your stay. If you are just going to play poker it probably won't help much but if you degen it up at the tables a bit it might.

About 8 years ago I stayed at the Venetian paid cash for my hotel room and played blackjack like a mad man for a few days They ended up giving me all my cash back for my hotel room(over 500 dollars) and have been sending me offers for free rooms ever since. I have used them three times since and I can't believe they are actually still sending them.

Luckily somebody told me about talking to someone at the end of my stay because had I not known I would not have gotten that cash back. You won't get much in comp points from Caesar's total rewards but if you give enough play you will get hotel offers in the future.

Tripadvisor is a decent site for finding good eat spots/entertainment once you're there.

But if your buddy is already out there I'm sure you have that covered.

Good luck out there!

I second this, getting a players card from anywhere you play is a MUST

make sure all of your gambling/purchases is recorded

I personally have experienced better comps from Harrahs Casinos (Harrahs, Ballys, Caesars, Planet Hollywood, Flamingo, Rio, Imperial Palace) from MGM/Mirage properties with equal comparable play.

My understanding is that there is no paper work on net winnings of 5K or less.

I will be at FW today through the 27th. I will be starting an interest list for 10/20 RSE each day for those that are interested. I am open to a full HORSE game if that will help get it going.

Try SWA out of Providence to Vegas - 1 non-stop daily and its pretty cheap. Also - if you can get Jet Blue early enough - out of Boston is cheap.

Went down Thurs afternoon-sunday. Got the 1-2PLO going either thur or fri night. As we gathered around the table to see if enough people would play, I got to the opportunity to harass "PLO8" Billy and mock him as we broke his table and got them to play high only(seriously, he seems like an ok guy, but i couldn't resist). One of the PLO8 players was telling us how crazy the game was:
"1600 dollars pots!" he exclaimed.
"Was it heads up?"
"um yea"
"did they chop the pot?"
"um yea"
"so not really that interesting then right?"
"ummmmm"

Played with "Jimmy" Woods all day Fri at 2-5. Good table, a bunch of people didn't even know it was him.

Switched to 15-30 OE at night, not the best game, but made a couple bets... speaking of OE anyone know who the little Hispanic girl is who sits in that game? I faintly remember a story from a friend who tried to play 75-150 and someone told him, "you know who that little girl is? she's one of the best HOE players around". was wondering if it's the same person.

Donked off about 350 playing 10-20 with the usual clowns. Broke all my rules as I was fully enveloped in "limit-tilt" AK < A7 etc... and lost 300 more than i needed to.

Bluffed off about 600 at 2-5 on Sat into a guy with the nut str8 with 2nd nut str8 when the board paired on the end. Note to self: don't go broke in an unraised pot. Fortunately made it all back plus some as the game had a couple spots that were paying off light.

Once again didn't play the 20-40 as i was too much of a wuss. I saw some familiar faces and was like "donk, donk, tagfish" but I wasn't mentally ready to handle the swings.

Did anyone else here play at the 5/10 w/Kill Sunday? It went for a while and was a pretty good game, almost every hand was a kill and the pots averaged $200+ for a long time.

It'll come. Just keep looking for good spots and feeling like you're on your A game.

So, I will be down this week. Tues-Thurs or Fri depending on husband's schedule. I havent played since last Thursday due to getting hit by a nasty bout of allergies so I am pumped up this week.
I would be down with doing lunch with anyone at High Rollers. Their pizza is yummy and half price sounds good to me.
Will also be doing the usual Craftsteak and Shrine is anyone wants to tag along.
