Theres a shuttle from the New London train station to Foxwoods

If you are coming from boston though the bus is by far the best option

just finished the trip from hell. busted in the tournament within ~5 hours on thursday, got cremated at 2/5 from every which way, had my single worst (-) for any trip/session(s) ever. nothing went right.

got to play with james woods and steve aoki (the DJ from the shrine party). jw is a really nice and humble guy. super funny, although its annoying when people suck him off the entire game. some tool to my left was physically applauding whenever he took a pot or showed a monster...just got on my nerves.

aoki sucks and was a d bag.

also got to see livb playing 5/10 when i was super drunk around 430 this morning. that was kinda cool, although i was hoping i could rail some 10/25.

met some 2+2er when i was walking to rainmaker at ~4 AM and was obnoxiously talking about this forum, any of you guys? i forget what he said his name was.

Taco was a riot last night. If anyone is looking to break their poker session for 2 hours or so, I recommend seeing his show. It's only $25.

LivB sitting pretty upstairs. Doubtful if he's chip lead but definitely mot slacking. He also took out one of the most annoying tourney players so that was gratifying

The chipleader is a guy who was to my direct left for a good chunk of the tournament and caused me to fold AK preflop. Solid player, picked his spots well.
I was at the final table and tried to inform the players of this and was hoping to change the pay out to.... 25K 1st, 17K 2nd, and 13K 3rd with the rest getting just under $5000... NO Tax for anyone but 1-3 but The chip leader and a few others did not want too !!!!

I finished in 7th when my AQ lost to A9 but No taxes for me

Yes, I know who you are now. I played with you in this tournament too. I don't believe you started at my table, I think you moved to my table at some point and then that got busted up.

I also acknowledged and congratulated you on a nice score in person yesterday with a fist bump. Maybe that'll jar your memory on who I am.

you guys know you don't get taxed unless you make $5000 profit right? so in the $400 tournament you would need to cash for more than $5400

Brag: busted busquet out of the mega main after he open limped the button. Q9>QT on qq9 ez game (lol world class button limpers)

Beat: finished just out of money in 41st

Variance: played 5/10 with livb thought he was a donk til I saw this thread. Clearly I am the fish
Also got some pro to laydown bottom set early in the mega when I had kj on kj5 in a 3 way pot to stay alive. He didnt think I was bad enough to jam two pair in that spot. Little did he know...

long session yesterday

was break even for the majority of the night until the 2/5 PLO hi/lo game kicked off, that was a lot of fun.

Crushed that for awhile and met gotf (nice guy) and asian tommy (limit/stud player?) also a nice guy

Played 2/5 for a bit with Big Whoop, your bad streak is almost over man, hang in there.

Overall good session, didn't want to stay until 6:30am tho :P

Off topic question for my fellow Foxwoods'ers.
Does anyone know the cheapest way to get to Vegas from Hartford or Boston? Where is the best place to book and when are the best times to do it.
I know everyone has there tricks, and I'd like to hear them!

Headed there in about 3 weeks.

Brag: won thru work, staying at Caesars palace, and they pay for a guest.

Have five good eat spots already picked out. Gonna hit aria & Venetian for some NL & PLO cash.

Was way harder than it should have been to give away this trip.

My buddies need to get their ***t together.

If I knew people on here better I woulda offered up the seat. Already gave my buddy a heads up that I'll be at the poker table for a good % of the time.

Unless I run/play bad. If so bring on the booze.

I have come to realize people that aren't degenerates at heart don't want to go to Vegas. apparently they have real jobs and commitments or something, idk. when I tell people I'm going to vegas for 3 weeks I get looked at like I have 3 heads

honestly, this is the way I do it and I have always gotten a great deal every time I go to vegas (June 12th will be my 3rd trip)

First, I figure out the exact dates I want to go, give or take a day or 2

I set price alerts on Kayak.com for those dates you have in mind, and check those emails everyday

Flight prices fluctuate every single day, so when one day a package could be $600/person for mgm and 3 days later it could drop to $350/person

Flights have been hovering around $380 round trip out of Boston almost all year, but one Saturday about 6 weeks ago, round trip flights for my specific dates dropped to $220 a person. Coupled with the poker room rate I got at mgm ($40/night, just call the poker room), and my trip is $330 a person for 6 days/5 nights.

It doesn't hurt to check expedia, orbitz, travelocity from time to time

I hope this helps
