Does 'visit' equal 'day' or 'trip'? In other words, if I go down for the weekend, is that 1 visit or 3 (Fri/Sat/Sun)?
Is a visit only counted once you swipe in at the table? Or does *any* account activity on the day register a visit (if you don't swipe in at the table, but use your card to buy food, or get in the lounge, or use a room even, does that count)?
Is the '3 visit' rumor even true?

I hope to have a trip report by the end of the weekend.
Nothing to report really, unfortunately. Nothing is set in stone yet, they're still working on what changes they're going to make. So, we'll know once they know

This has been happening to me. And appararently only the floor from the shift that you "disappeared" on can correct it.
When I had the overnight little asian floor check it the other night, he said that I "disappeared" between 10pm-1am but magically showed back up in the same seat.

I only need 80 hours this month(which will take some doing) to get black card so every hour counts.

slow night at Foxwoods tonight. It did pick up as people were busting out of the Mohegan main event.
Ate at Scorpion Bar. Nachos. bland and WAY overpriced at $15, imo.

I left my binoculars at my table, called the room within 10 minutes and they were already stolen

Interesting. What sort of changes? This isn't a criticism, and I'm not "calling you out," btw. I'm just curious as to what types of changes they're making and where you heard that from. I've been playing at Mohegan and Foxwoods. If they're making big 'negative' changes, might impact how many hours I spend at Mohegan vs. Foxwoods.

Thanks for the 411. Could be very helpful....especially in deciding if I want to keep running for Black Card status.

Sorry to hear about the binoculars. I can relate. I had $200 cash that I lost (or had stolen) from last month. I was playing Craps in the Rainmaker. I had $200 in some $20's in my pocket. I took it out to put some other cash in my pocket (I usually use a money clip, etc). 5-10 minutes later, I went to the cage to cash out and it was gone. I realize it's 100% my fault for not keep tracking. I can't say for certain if someone took it from my pocket, or if I just dropped it. Either way, what was more surprising is I went to security, told them exactly where I was and what happened and they came up blank. They couldn't find it, had no idea what happened, etc.

I don't want this to be a "bash Foxwoods" thing, because I love playing there, and their poker room dwarfs Mohegan's. Being their are only 2 in CT, only so much some of us can do, right?

As an aside, I love the Venetian poker room, Wish we could just "transport" the Borgata and Venetian rooms over here. That would be beautiful.

Was there playing 20/40 but was on the list for 5-10 . they must have called a new game when I was in the bathroom. One table of 5-10 must have been good with everybody at mohegan

Were you at the 20/40 table when there was a guy flipping out about the dealer calling out hands at showdown? I was at the 10/20 behind it but it sounded pretty stupid.

How they award lounge access, free rooms, show tickets, etc. I'm starting to hear conflicting rumors though about exactly what changes are going to be made, so I can't really comment yet. The 1 thing I can tell you is that whatever the changes will be, they go into effect in May... so we'll find out soon enough.

Doesn't sound stupid to me. I'd be pretty annoyed with it too. Leave it to the player to try to decipher what I had after I mucked. Surprised the dealer was doing that kind of stuff at the 20/40 game. I can somewhat see that at 2/4 but not at a game like 20/40.

Mohegan treats people very well with lounge access , freerolls, more comp points per hour, Free table side food on fri and sat for higher games. ect. They do have alot less rooms so you would need to get sagamore card for free ones. Lets start the migration to mohegan

Sagamores don't get free weekend rooms though, just discounted, which is still like $100-150/night... or so I thought.

Ahh. Great. I'll keep an eye out. Thanks again. This could very helpful to me (as well as numerous others, I'm sure). If you happen to hear more, I'd appreciate an update.

Thanks.

mohegan is awful in every sense

there isnt a single thing better at ms than at fw, none

Table side food is NOT a perk if you ask me. It slows down the game and gets chips/cards greasy. I will not be switching anytime soon. MS will remain an occasional trip every now and then.

I second what prizminferno says, MS is awful in every sense.

You guys are forgetting about the swivel chairs at mohegan, jeez...

Also the dealers get to keep their own tips, so I guess that's a plus too

Besides that tho, FW > MS all day

Now, now, come over to the dark side, we actually have a 5/10 game! You will learn to enjoy the comps and locals .

Serving food in the poker room keeps people there a lot longer. Rooms need to have enough space for it though.

You probably asked the wrong floor. I'll pm you who took care of it for me if you're interested, but he wasn't working the shifts that I was playing. He originally told me it required a shift supervisor's approval, but after a couple of minutes of waiting, he filled out the paper work and got the signature later. It showed up on my account when I got back to my room that morning.

Do you have to physically sign out of hotel rooms, or can you just walk? I booked for two nights, but now have to come back home on the 2nd day. I'd like to keep my options open about whether I drive back or not

you can just walk, but make sure that you take everything from your room if theres a chance that you won't be coming back

edit - I guess that's obvious... but they can't let you back into the room if you're check out has already happened
