(6) Card room employees. Card room employees must become authorized representatives before posting information on their place of employment. Please contact Two Plus Two Advertising for more information.

This is self-explanatory. Card room employees are not permitted to post anything regarding their place of employment that could be construed as promotional in nature. So what that means for them is that they're allowed to post ONLY on rules and procedures. Everything else is off limits. This one comes straight from the admins, so we have to enforce it strictly.

(7) Privacy of non-famous players and card room employees. Respect other players' and card room employees' privacy; do not use their names on the forum unless they have given permission to do so either explicitly on the forums or implicitly by becoming an authorized representative.

Privacy extends a little beyond just using their name. I'll give an example from recent postings of what is and isn't appropriate:

This is borderline but I feel it should be allowed. I think it's good to know whether it was hit by a regular or not, as it contributes to the debate on whether the BBJ is good or not.

Absolutely unacceptable. These things are none of our business. This isn't a gossip forum.

I just wanted to reiterate these things. I tend to give this thread a bit more leniency than I probably should, but the posting has gone a bit overboard over the past week or so (I've been too busy to clean it up). Please try to adhere to the rules of the forum going forward.

Any of the o8 players interested in starting a mix of 5-10 FL and 1-2 PL. It would attract recreational hold 'em players to try out omaha8, building the player base. That is something we definitely want to do at the lower stakes because it brings fresh money into the o8 ecosystem, for lack of a better term. I was not a big fan of the switch from 4/8 w/ a hk to 5/10 w/ a fk for Lo8 last summer. low stakes o8 action is struggling nowadays, from my perspective in foxwoods. The lack of action at the low stakes is directly caused by the game structures.


the 1/2 plo8 is a problem for building a player base because the nature of the game is that the best players have such a high edge that the fish lose their stacks very quickly. and at times there can be very good players in the game, which can make for few, if any, soft spots at the table at all. this doesn't make people want to play omaha8. FL is far better at making people feel like they have a chance, and lots of players hate the idea of losing their stack all at once.


since 5-10 fullkill is the lowest Lo8 available, low stakes recreational foxwoods players are much less likely to give omaha8 a shot than they were before a year ago. a lot of these crossover players would play in the 5-10 Lo8 if the kill wasn't full, which doubles the stakes. a half kill game, or even the mixgame that I mentioned w/o a kill would be far more appealing to the players that we should be trying to crossover to build the player base. the current set-up of games doesn't attract possible crossovers like it could be and this has the effect of making the tables have only good players with solid playing, and little action.


If this new mixgame got the action going real big on a weekend evening like I predict it would, then they should give the PLO players their 40-50 BB min buy-in game that some players seem to want. I can imagine three tables of o8 at once, just like the old days, and with actual action at them. This is possible if foxwoods would be willing to fix the games. the increase in overall o8 action would be a good thing for the house because it means more rake.

Hey FW management. Please fix your chairs!! For some reason, a lot of them are missing the slider parts on the bottom of the chair legs and won't slide anymore on the carpet. It's getting very annoying and many other players are complaining too.

For those wanting higher limit plo. Theirs a 2 5 plo high going now with big stacks , 5 bring in, etc. This after the 1 2 plo high low game broke after the donators lost all their money

I keep having this problem today. Had to keep sliding off it and then pull the chair out from behind so I would have to slide back into hitting player's knees.

Odd COMP problem occurred for the first time ever...I have been getting 2 FREE weekday rooms every week for the past 6 months....putting in 20+ hours per week @ 1/2 and 2/5.

I recently registered all my rooms for May, but did not receive a confirmation e-mail for any of it. Checked up on it this weekend and looks like one week's rooms are stuck in limbo - when I click the 'view' tab, it's leads me to a 'page not found' error. All of the other weeks during May that I was registered for now allow me to book a single night free instead of 2 nights.

In the menu, the offer title still reads '2 FREE MON-THURS', like it has for the past 6 months. Just wondering if it may be an error or if this is standard procedure as weather improves / comps decrease...this is my first Spring as a black card. Also, noted the earlier poster missing his weekly 15 - me too.

If this is the way Foxwoods wants to treat its poker players, I'll save for Vegas.

I saw something posted on one of the walls in the room about the Safety Committee addressing this issue and MGMT is supposedly looking into a new company for them because the old ones kept falling off and being torn apart.

Get up, pick the chair up, find an empty table and get a different chair when getting this chair it shouldn't have to be picked up since it should slide back. A bit of a hassle, pending dynamics of table location and what tables are open. I'll only do this if it's feasible. But at least these chairs are comfortable.

The chairs that are awful are upstairs in the tourney area. What am I at? A little league banquet with those chairs. Sitting down in those things for any extended length of time is pretty uncomfortable.
