WTF?! Welp, I guess I am not playing at Encore. With these hours, I suppose they are intentionally trying to sabotage the success of the poker room. Too bad Twin River doesn't open their poker room back up, they might find some success given the sh*t show at Encore.

they are working on it (twin). but from all i have seen on poker atlas...Encore isnt struggling to get players despite the terrible hours. guess the tables are filled with retired OMC's...

That's bananas. And you have to be at the room to put yourself on the list, right? No call ahead option? The big question is what the churn rate is. With that few tables, I'd bank on maybe 20-25 open seats an hour at $1/$3, if even that many. It probably has to be a lot of OMCs who are bored and financially secure enough to endure this.

i don't think encore, a place built for 80 tables filling 12 tables 32 hours a week after being closed for almost 2 years is gojng to have a real impact on rake anywhere else in the country.

I can see them spinning it that it'll enable them to hire more people, provide competitive wages, etc. but not be held accountable to actually doing such as they rake in more profits

While the fact that there is a list at all is amazing it's not as much of a colossal feat as it would first appear seeing as most players are on the list for multiple games if not all games making it appear to be much more crowded than it actually is.

BTW: I just checked and there's no list for $1-$3 and one on the list for $2-$5... Disclaimer: I did check at 6:30pm which is late in the day but it's the first time I've seen so little demand even this late in the day.

Absolutely. The dozens of people milling around waiting to play poker, they have no where to sit while waiting, so they go seat at an empty slot machine, and then one thing leads to another.

Before they fleece people at the poker tables, they shake em down at the slot machines.

The Encore is making money coming and going.

But Poker is slowly dying at the Encore, There's only forty something names on the 1/3 waitlist right now.
