Last month I was told either 15 or 30 by the poker room (sorry, not BS, geezer memory issue). Might have been, most likely, usually about 30, last month 15. The phone number on the site referenced by the URL to the Windsor poker room can be used to double check/verify.

Buy in is $350. So top prize still worth going after.

Why would I BS? Just bcus this is about poker?

I have no idea how the US can't get their act together and pass legislation to allow online play. They should be drooling at all the potential money they could be bringing in.

Old buddy of mine managed Sunnybrook for years, up until 2011 or so. They were held up once and the robbers got away with a box-o-cash. The box had a false bottom and a good samaritan who found it on the side of the road returned it with half the cash still in it. They also had players use counterfeit chips on at least one occasion.

Used to use 2+2 under a different user name til my brother got me banned lol (dunno why). Haven't used this site in forever and never used this name before. Definite newb. Anyways, looking to start being involved more in this Detroit area thread, considering this is the only place I can play poker now that I can't from the convenience of my own home (Stars and FTP).

Was wondering where the best games in the area are? Used to frequent Snooker's occasionally just to play the tournaments for fun, but mainly play cash at Greektown and have recently switched over to MCC for a number of reasons. Will never give Snooker's business again, I had a feeling there was corrupt **** going on but there was no clear proof. Honestly I don't trust any of those venues.

Charity cash games right now are pretty spread out you'll get 3 at Big beaver 3 at The River and 1/2 at Sunnybrooke right now. Electric Stick is the busiest room tourney and cash wise.

No....

Did they break the rules to fatten pocket books - yes

Did they create more problems then help improve charity poker - yes

If books were fudged then there is state income that wasnt collected. Maybe money was structured so that the extra income was coming from the bar or kitchen. I dont know, but one way to surely upset government is to not pay tax on income. If they were overselling the 15k limit, where was that extra cash being claimed. Cant wait to see how this unfolds.

Exactly. Zero chance his mistakes were made out of "ignorance", there was obvious intent to deceive.

Sigh, I need to finish my blog but here's the quick and dirty: The 'cooking the books' would have only been in money sold out (above the $15k limit), not in the rake taken in. They won't find any 'non-reported funds' to the state so the IRS coming after them probably won't happen either. The charities are in a lot of trouble as well. Yes, I can't wait to see how this unfolds too.. yada, yada, yada..
