I don't see why not? I've thought about bringing a book before.

Got crushed in Indiana after dominating Detroit (lol sample sizes). Hand of the day in indiana was KK v QQ v 64o on a 752r board, 64o cold called a 200 raise of my cbet, and won ofc on my 500 shove.

I think I might try to bring one in tonight and see if they let me. I'm so out of this world tired. Went and played another 6 hours after my softball games got over last night. Didn't get to bet until 7am and up at noon to go workout.

need a 10-12hr sleep session tomorrow.

I was there on Sat. night, wearing a yellow star-V shirt, reading a non-poker book.

I hear you cannot bring bags, luggage of anything like that into Greektown. Don't know about other casinos.

I asked a dealer at MC tonight if I could bring a backpack in next time I play. He said he doesn't see why not.

I asked a floor person as I was leaving just to make sure, and he not only said no, but he said you can't even enter the casino with one.

Was at Greektown earlier today, and as I took the elevator up, I saw a guy being attended to who had just jumped 5 minutes earlier from what I heard was 7 stories up. How sad...

Last time I was at MC security told me I couldn't leave the casino -> parking structure with complimentary cup of coffee in my hand. Never thought to mention it here but as long as we're on the subject of casino accommodation.. that pissed me off. I was skeptical that they could legally detain me on their premises until I finished drinking coffee from a plastic cup but obliged.

Yeah I heard about that...he died correct? That's what everyone was saying.

Yeah, that's standard at MC and Greektown. I presume it's to control alcohol, although i'm not sure who's slipping alcoholic drinks into their coffee.

You were one of the lucky ones then. They closed off the parking structure, I'm guessing for police purposes. I played for a few hours last night, and that was the talk at the table. Oh, and the valet system went down to boot. Go Tigers!

Interestingly, according to FAQ #7, it does not appear that Omaha high could be spread, although O8 is OK. Then again, it's an FAQ for "Texas hold'em" that talks about seven-card stud, Let It Ride, and other poker and non-poker games, so they may not have a clue what they're talking about.

You are correct AKQJ10, I've heard on a few occasions that poker does in fact fall under the "millionaire party" section

i have become a bit of a regular at the charity rooms over the past two months and i would be interested in helping to get this plo8 game going as well. i have been calling snookers on a regular basis the last week or two to see if it was runnig and it hasnt been any of the times i called. I can pretty much play any day of the week so just let me know when and where it is runnig. i just signed up so i cant use pm feature yet but hopefully that ends soon.

GFL, great to hear! Maybe we'll try to get it going again tomorrow now that a few people on here have expressed interest. The problem lately has been that we've showed up with 4 people, 3 people at snookers have shown interest, but 7 wasn't enough for a couple of the players. It sounds pretty promising to get this going tomorrow. I'll post again tomorrow, but I'll say a 7:30 start time works!
