Cleveland Horseshoe and Soaring Eagle are closer to Detroit than Firekeepers on Bravo app. Hard to believe.
Thanks for the compliment! Just try to play solid and let it happen. Will be leaving for Firekeepers soon. Last week took a beat near the bubble. 17 left, 10 to cash. Two 3-5BB stacks at our table. I have 10BB stack, wake up with AA under the gun, no fooling around just pile them in. Overall chip leader calls me and a gal on the button over shoves for 21BB. Big stack calls. He has AKo and she has AQo. Board runs out with 2 queens! I win that hand and have 32BB, no worries. Instead on the rail, oh well. I'll be wearing my usual Black Taylor Made golf hat, give a Sup Bro if there.

Playing at Greektown and getting hit by a cold deck. Best hand I've seen in 2 hours has been A9dd. I did manage to hit a flush with J8cc, so it's been up and down. About even at dinner break. O8 running, limit 3/6 and of course 1/2 NLHE. Night is young. Good luck to everyone playing tonight.

I played at one of the charity rooms in New Hampshire while out their for business. The charity does not need to be present during the event. They come by at the end of night to pick up their cut. The tournament had add ons and rebuys and you just gave the money to the dealer. Very sketchy. The Michigan rooms are run much better.

Just home from Firekeepers. 68 runners, 13 advance. No joy. Kinda card dead all evening. Had QQ in 3rd level and couldn't make much there. Won a couple of small pots. Double up with a flip my 99 vs AJo. Targeted the weak players and stole for a while. Chipped up without showing down a hand. Finally with 30K behind in SB at 1500/3000/300 blinds had just gone up folds to me with AKo, I pile. BB has 75K behind and calls me with A10o. I would have been happy to just take the blinds/antes and was thrilled to see I had him dominated. He hits 10 on river to send me to rail, 2nd week in a row. I made no mistakes and thought I played well. Sometimes its frustrating, eh?

That sucks, Salty. I hope variance turns your way in the next one. Nice job playing mistake free.

People were even talking about it at Greektown last night. I guess the secondary jackpot fund was so high it reset to over $100k? We came close to hitting it at my table last night. 99 against QQ, quad 9s hit, and the guy had a set of Queens. King on the river. So close.

my understanding is that it usually resets to 30% of what the jackpot was.

Roughly.

Every dollar they pull for it gets split. I think it's something like 70% to the main pot, 20% to the reserve pot, and then 10% to the second reserve. Not sure on the actual numbers but it must be public record somewhere. Either way, the reset isn't a fixed percentage of the main pot. But 30% isn't a bad guess.

Regarding the HideOut Bar in Clawson... does anyone know when poker is scheduled to start up there? Or what days and times there'll be action?

There is a link at the Michigan state gaming site where you can search by city or county and it will give you access to all the charity games going on in that area and who the charities are who pulled the license, where they are going to be ... and the times when they can operate.

This will show only games that have been authorized so far, but it does go out quite a ways in time.

I think there was a link somewhere in this thread a few pages back as well. GL

Lol... I was sarcastically asking the question.

But thanks for the info

Bravo is a 'bird's eye' view .. not driving miles or minutes .. So unless you can swim you may not want to believe mileage to Toledo depending on where you are standing!! GL

Glad to hear they caught the guy involved. Actually a sign of the Motorcity security working with the police. My buddy had his truck stolen from the parking garage and the security people were not exactly helpful.

That being said, what kind of moron carjacks two old women from one of the three parking ramps in Detroit with the best security coverage. I'm sure logic isn't one of this guy's greatest skills, but come on man.

Two pretty decent guys got the big shares. Tony is a MC regular who drives down from Flint to play and I don't know the other guy's name but he's there at least 3-4 times a week. When it hits around 7:30 on a Friday night, odds are pretty good it'll be regulars and it was. Just one guy from out of town on the table.
