Yes Josh! Although from past posts, you and I will be the only ones! You're a T-Wolves fan I take it?

It's so sad after the Tigers game is over. Do we really have to watch McEnroe v Sampras?

Thinking of making an early bird showing tomorrow for 2/5 at MCC. Does the 2/5 usually bust up in the wee hours, or is it likely to go all night and into tomorrow?

Yes! Had season tickets back in our last heyday, 03-05. Was there the night they won the championship in 04.

Can anyone explain to me how Charity Rooms work?
Detroit Quote
06-25-2015 , 07:34 PM
um, what do you want to know about them? they run 1/2 nlhe cash and nightly low buyin tournaments ($30-$50). some have 1 pm tournaments as well. they open around 6pm depending on the location and close at 2 am (1:45 is usually the last hand) sharp.
they have a floor person that runs the poker part (and pretty competent dealers), but there are charity workers from each specific charty that handle the $, chips. charity splits the nightly profits w/ the floor, building, workers.

Simple. 10% goes to the charity.. 10% goes to the room for tournament buyins. The rest, 80%, goes to the prize pool.

Charity rooms can only sell so many chips in a night.. I think it's $15k for cash games. Once they are aold, that's it. You cannot buy chips off someone.

Generally a room is open 4 days a week. And most rooms have tournaments on a nightly basis.

But it was one of those feelings that he was going to hit 30.. same feeling you get when you play 89 off suit and you call a raise preflop on the guy that's been on a heater. The flop come 6-7-10 rainbow. You check. He bets. Turn is a blank 2. You check again. He bets big... you call. Finally the river comes with an ace of spades. You check again and he shoves... and you simply smile and show the stone cold nuts... yeah.
Your wet dream is a check-call trap.

Cheers, bro! I'm jealous. I don't follow college hoops, so I don't know what to make of Johnson.
